I dislike Pearl and Auburn as much as anyone, but Oats inherited much much more talent than Pearl did when he got to Auburn

Galin, Reese, Forbes all need to go.
Embarrassing that their on our court, on a basketball scholarship, wearing Bama uniform.
All 3 would ride the bench at Alabama State or Alabama A&M.

As for the roster next year:
Herb and Shack- great players and should be studs next year.
Q, Gary, and Rojas- never seen them play but God I hope they can contribute and in Q’s case be as good as advertised.
Kira -95% gone and should be. He’s had a terrific season
Petty-probably 50-50 - he wouldn’t get drafted, but I think he could probably catch on in the D league like Donta did. He can shoot and is a good defender and plays with a lot of energy. And with the kid, he probably needs the money.
Hawkins- how is he gone? If so, I kind of question Oats recruiting. He loved this kid, wanted him, been recruiting him since Buffalo and all of a sudden he can’t play and his processed. I mean what the hell?
Galin - processed
Forbes, Javian, Reese- Probably all back. I know people hate Reese but he has the potential and is perfect for Oats system. And you can only replace so many. He might not see the floor but I think he’ll be back

Are we really going to start touting a fricking 16-14 record as some sort of accomplishment? Even with the injuries there was enough talent on this roster to make the tournament. And I'm sorry but the "yeah but it took Pearl 4 years to have a good season" argument is total bullshite. Imagine if Greg Goff had kept his job for 2 or 3 more years. That's basically what Auburn had with Barbee. No shite it was going to take a while to clean up that mess. Pearl was for all intents and purposes starting a program from scratch. If we are a mediocre bubble team the next 2 years I really don't need to see a 4th.

You really expected more coming into the season? I thought most of us(except Fever)thought 17-14 type season is what this year would be. Don’t understand why everyone is melting about it.......it was expected

He fixed the offense which is what I wanted to see in year 1.

I didn't set any expectations to be honest with you, but if they can beat Auburn, LSU, State, and South Carolina at home they sure as shite ought to beat a couple of garbage teams like aTm and Vandy at home. That is why this season is a disappointment. We know they can be better, and we know they choose not to be.

Nate Oats is a good coach. Like his system. I am ready for Alabama basketball to get back to the days of Wimp Sanderson, NCAA every year with so many sweet 16 runs. Really solid basketball.

I disagree here.I agree that Lewis has had a great year, but there are certainly aspects of his game that can improve under Oats, and at 18 years old, the maturity aspect comes into play....could just be wishful thinking.
As far as Petty is concerned, I can only see another year in college as being beneficial to his possible draft situation, and that's where the money gets real.

With his system and recruiting of his style player will get us to the Final Four

Hope so. I am ready for it. If Auburn can make a final 4, Bama can as well.
