Even if we don't make the tournament, this season has been exciting and Oats has us all giddy about the future

I hate to say it, but I think our chances to get a bid depend on whether we can defeat the sec teams who may be ahead of us, like Miss State and SC. They have better conference records than us, better overall records, and are probably ahead of us on the bracket curve. Tall order and a lot of pressure on a very weary and fragile team. Are we mentally tough enough to gut out road wins in the SEC? I hope so, but we sure have not proven to be yet.Probably 8 teams fighting for 5 spots. I expect that only 2 teams from ALA, ARK, FLA, MISS ST, and SC get in the NCAA. Realistically we probably need at least 6 more wins including the SEC tourney to feel comfortable.

Well I trust the people that do it for a living and most of them say we get in with 18 or 19 wins depending on where you look.

SC is for sure a must win but I dont think Miss St is.

ETA: 20 wins we would be an absolute lock, I think we are a lock at 19 too but I would love get to 20 for seeding purposes.

Lewis averaged 18.5 PPG, 8.5 APG, and 5.5 RPG last week while recording a triple-double against Auburn on Wednesday.

Shackelford averaged 27 PPG, 3 APG, and 4.5 RPG and shot 40% from beyond the arc last week.

Not to mention, both games last week were against top 25 opponents.

Nah, we're all about even right now. You guys are just at that place where we were after Tennessee. If you get Joe back (what is the timeline there?) you could easily rebound.

After the trip to Florida you have 5 winnable games to finish with, especially if Joe is back.

Eh, our OOC SOS was trending better a few weeks ago but Indiana is turning more and more into a dud. The metrics might be close but NCAA is going to favor the hotter team which is certainly Bama had this point. Bama should be ahead.

Not looking likely before the end of the year. I don't think they want to risk it. IMO it isn't worth it at this point anyway.

Hard to say, ya'll lost 5 out of your last 6 but the team you beat was us, at home. Go figure.

I think Arky has lost 7 out of your last 9 right? Hopefully ya'll can get it back on track.

That sucks then, but it sounds like the right call.

Either way - it's all moot at this point. Both of us have to win some games down the stretch.
