this week: “still some big, big cases out there that are closing in on resolution, at least from a NOA standpoint. Louisville being prominent in that group, #Auburn being prominent in that group. Eventually Arizona and #LSU probably will be in that boat.”

I listened to the interview, no mention of Alabama, he sounded certain about Auburn and LSU though.

Forde hates Auburn for some reason and going back to Cam virtually everything he says/predicts about them turns out to be false.

Well they did have a coach get arrested. Pretty similar situation to South Carolina and they just got their just their NOA.

I don’t really care about Auburn, I do hope LSU gets hammered though.

Chuck’s actions were far different than the guys tied up in the shoe/recruiting scandal. The situations aren’t comparable at all. Chuck was by-catch. The feds were out looking for big tuna, caught a mahi and decided to bring him home for dinner.

It all comes down to if the NCAA focus is on punishing impermissible benefits or recruiting violations. Auburn has not been publicly implicated w pay for play/shoe company scandals

Also, Auburn was proactive in response, not only firing Chuck but already has official NCAA eligibility ruling re known players involved. Considering the LSU/Zonas of the world middle finger, NCAA may reward the voluntary compliance

Auburn will get a NOA, the question is what the NCAA believes the level of punishment for the violations should be

Honestly it's anyone's guess what happens

I suppose there's a first time for everything.

I will say though that if Auburn gets punished with much more than a stern letter and hard slap on the wrist then LSU and Arizona should both get the kind of sanctions that kill a program for a decade.

I just don't like this matchup for us at all. They dominate the boards and we can't guard them without fouling.

We gotta make shots, bottom line. We can't have a so-so shooting outing or we have no shot.

We need to shoot as well as we did from the 3-point line Wednesday night, and sprinkle in some finishes at the rim to have a chance. I agree they're going to eat our lunch on the glass unless Herb can go most of the game. And I don't see why he can't given how many minutes he played the other night.

I think we need to keep them out of the paint. Make them shoot from outside. And our so called big men have to help our guards rebound.

I think the dynamic has changed since so many programs have taken the middle finger approach.

NCAA enforcement system is built on voluntary compliance.

... And Kansas too

Personally I think AU should be punished but it isn't as much the basketball program but athletic department. Compliance failed when they hired a coach with debts and didn't monitor him

This could as easily been a point shaving scandal if Chuck approached a bookie instead

I don’t really agree with that. It would certainly help, but I think we’ve proven we can play at a high-level without a great shooting night. We dominated a better Auburn team and shot less than 43% from the floor and 28% from 3.

I understand LSU is a worse match up, but I don’t think that means we have no shot with just an “okay” shooting night.

I don't think we have to shoot great to win in general, but I think we have to shoot well specifically against LSU.

They're gonna shoot a million free throws because they get to the basket and we can't guard them without fouling. They're gonna get a bunch of easy put backs because they are great on the glass and we aren't. Their offensive efficiency numbers are going to be really good.

Ours have to match, and we are only above average efficiency wise when we make shots, because we don't get to the line and we won't get a ton of easy looks at the rim.

The first time against Auburn they played man and we got a bunch of easy looks, so we didn't take as many 3s and didn't need them as badly.

Edit : I don't think we need to shoot 50% or anything, but shooting 25-30% from 3 is going to mean other things are going to have to go our way that usually don't (FT discrepancy, rebounding stats, etc).
