And Hands got drafted 56th. Kira is likely to be a top 30 pick, if he is a much better player and prospect.
A lot of that has to do with the fact that people think Kira has more untapped skills that he is only now starting to develop. The KP comparison is literally comparing seasons to each-other, which is interesting. Hands was a full year older than Kira that season and had kind of reached his ceiling (which is why he's in the D-League).

Aside from the fact that he can't shoot or dribble in traffic, Herb is actually one of our better players on offense. He gets after rebounds and actually makes pretty good decisions with the ball. He is the epitome of a glue guy.
He is everything that people wanted Dazon Ingram to be. The difference is that Herb knows his liabilities and plays so damn hard on both ends on the court... You love that about him. No disrespect to Dazon by no means but there were times I wondered did he even want to be out there.

We win Saturday We are back on track IMO. That puts us at 14-11 just gotta protect home floor and win 1 of @OleMiss, @Mississippi State, or @ Missouri and 1 in the SEC tournament
Totally agree. If we can somehow get a win Saturday we have a fighting chance. We can win our last 3 home games (although South Carolina will be tough).
I think we can win 1 of the 2 road games against either Ole Miss or State. We would then simply need to win our 3 remaining home games and win at Missouri which is certainly doable. That would put us at 19-12 for the regular season.
Then win at least l game in the SEC tournament and we finished 20-13 at worst with an RPI likely in the Top 40. It's a tall task no doubt but if we can get past LSU on Saturday and play like we did in our 2 games against Auburn in the rest of the games we can do it.
I think 20-13 with our overall schedule at least gives us a legitimate shot at getting into at least one of the NCAA tourney play in games

LSU has only won at Coleman 5 times in the last 29 years.
We are 23 and 5 vs them at home since 91.
Wade brought this up in his press conference today, he sounds like he thinks they are going to lose and is already making excuses.

Did anybody else have this thought last night at the end of regulation??...
After Petty hit the Game tying 3 with 14 seconds I thought we should have considered fouling and then coming down and giving Petty or Shack a 3 to win...because I knew we weren’t winning in OT. Is that a stupid thought?

Pretty risky, especially with how they were rebounding They could've missed the 2nd free throw and gotten the rebound. Not a guarantee we would've gotten the ball back if we had done that.
I'm not a fan of giving the other team the lead back for free when we had just hit a huge three to tie it and possibly force OT.

Uhhh 20-13 gets you in easily. 18 wins probably gets us in

My opinion is 18-13 in regular season plus 1 win in SECt gets us in. I think it’s doable.

Just rewatched the 2nd half....how was Shack not given an AND1 on that late foul in the 2nd half?

It seemed like every time they went to the basket it was a foul on us and every time we did that it was play on. How many times did our players get knocked down with no call?
This one sided free throw exhibitions need to stop.
Perhaps it's because Oats is a first year coach with no clout in the league.

To be fair we went to the basket like 8 times the entire game

I thought the game was called pretty fairly. Petty had 4 fouls on him for like 30 minutes and they never called the 5th, same with Beetle. They called some timely fouls on Auburn too that allowed us to get back in it. If we had hit more of our free throws we would've won.

Yep
And we just need to admit we foul a lot. We have a couple guys who cannot guard without fouling (Beetle and Davis), and others who panic sometimes and commit slap fouls. We consistently foul a ton, almost every game, and we've earned a reputation. It's not unfair, either. And on the flip side, we're a perimeter oriented team that doesn't take the ball to the hole all that physically. We are generally going to foul more than we get fouled due to those things.
Oats openly says we are fouling too much and we have to fix it.

It’s very doable if we play like we did against Auburn

I think Beetle tries to be aggressive and get up in their face. He lets players get by him too easily. But he isnt the only one. They just dont play defense very well with their feet.
