He still makes boneheaded passes. He still plays way out of control and takes dumb shots. I look at a guy like Donta Hall that was 10x better when he left than he was when he arrived. Petty is the same sloppy player.
He's killing me. I really thought that he would have 20 or 24 points tonight.

I knew the offense would be hit or miss but the defensive stuff is concerning. Penn is an insanely heady and hard to guard offense, but that shite was way way way too easy.
Either way, most of us said it'd take a while to figure things out. Those who disagreed hopefully get that now.

Petty is the one I really struggle to support. He’s the most overrated 2 time Mr. Basketball I’ve ever seen. He does nothing well. I’m ready to move on from him because you can’t depend on him for any facet of the game. He’s just not good and I don’t say that with animosity, it’s just the cold hard truth. He’s the Ivan Matchett or Tyler Love of Alabama Basketball

God DAMN, some of y'all are some Debbie Downer bitches. We lost a close game to a good team in game one of year one. And our best defender went out with an injury early.

Petty is only capable of scoring 20+ if it's his bi-weekly hot night from 3. Literally his only skill is outside shooting, which he is super streaky with. He's Charvez Davis 2.0.

The biggest issue is that our personel aren't good.

Think most of us are still trying to figure out how that was goaltending. Seriously, changed the complexion at the end of the game.
We expected growing pains, but with the GT win we were expecting a better result tonight. Hopefully, Herbs injury isn’t serious and will be ready to go.

John Petty has a terrible work ethic, that’s been the rumor for years. He’ll still be this bad when he graduates next year

I mean it wasn't. At all. I have no earthly idea what they were thinking.
But we took the lead after that happened then had 2 FTs to win the game, so I'm having trouble getting too worked up about it.

How can anyone have watched Herb the last 2 seasons and believe he would have had any positive impact on this game? My God he’s the most overrated player I’ve ever seen.

Also, the NCAA can frick right off. Approving every other BS transfer eligibility request and randomly slapping down JQ’s. His presence could have made the difference in what could end up being a bubble-bursting loss.

I’m good with the decision. Don’t waste a year of eligibility on this train wreck.
