We just don’t have a player that can defend the rim. They adjusted in the second half to the dribble drive and took advantage of that. Petty still doesn’t have any hand eye coordination, is either hot or cold on any given night, and is always an erratic passer. Shackelford will be a good one. Kira is a stud. I’ll reserve judgement on an outlook until we get a few games in and Herb comes back...but the lack of a defensive (or offensive) presence in the post will be an area that teams attack us all year. We really didn’t defend the dribbler all that well tonight either. Probably gonna be a long year tbh.
