Didn’t they go on the Facebook of that one referees business and just give bad review after bad review

Yep, his roofing company

Edit: Forgot about the lawsuit as well

Washington Post

quote:

In the days following the loss, the ill-will online and on sports talk radio clamped down on one referee in particular, John Higgins, the “most traveled, most recognized, most wanted, most mocked and most loathed referee in college basketball,” according to Sports Illustrated.

But the postgame outcry was not normal, veering away from sporting fun to straight harassment, according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Nebraska by Higgins and his wife, Carol.

The legal complaint says Kentucky fans were so irate over the Elite Eight finish they viciously harassed Higgins and his family, including clogging his roofing business with negative comments and even threatening the referee’s life. When Higgins returned to the court to referee the 2017 NCAA championship game, he had to be protected by a bodyguard.

Yay! We can gild these statues along the Walk of Champions now! No need to spend money for basketball.

Take $100 million of that and create an athletic endowment. Invest in precious metals and currencies like Swiss France and New Zealand Dollar. Profit.

Women’s team lost to Kentucky tonight to start 0-3 in conference play and 10-5 overall. I gotta believe Curry’s seat is starting to combust. Bring Madonna home!

Man, I hope the severe weather tomorrow doesn’t mess with my TV signal....unless things are going bad then it can knock my cable signal out.

I haven’t seen UK play this year. Who are we worried about beating us? The big white guy?

Seems like Cal’s teams always abuse us on the boards even though they’re young. It’s always a key component of winning, but I’d like to see us keep them off the boards offensively.

Seems crazy to me, but one thing to remember with both Kira and Petty is that one of the first things that article says is how this is considered a weak draft. At this point, at least.

I still have my doubts that either is a legit first round pick at this point, but I am admittedly as uninformed as most non-NBA draft experts.

They have two great guards in Maxey and Hagans.

That’s putting it lightly. I can’t really remember a draft as weak as this one.

Have either Petty or Kira used their one time free pass to test the draft waters and return if they don’t like what they hear?

It's hard to say from his analysis whether that guy has really watched any Kira at all this year. It's all stats: one of the most productive guards in the country, fast-paced offense, not great efficiency. It's not even really a dig at the writer, who may have seen plenty of Kira.

I would be interested to see a legit scouting report on Kira's defense and his perceived ability to guard anyone in the NBA. To be fair, I think it's improved as this season has gone on, but it's still an issue.

Interesting that Kenpom ranks us as the unluckiest team in the SEC.

With the way he’s played so far, I’d say he’s a borderline 1st rd pick in this draft. His defense is his primary concern, but this is mostly due to his strength. If teams think it’s just his frame, then they’ll take him off the board. If they think it’s because of his age and that he has potential to get much stronger he may shoot up draft boards.

It’s crazy how close we are to being 11-3 (2-0) and on an 8 game winning streak.
