Why did Joe go so slow up the court on yalls last possession?

I don't think that was the real issue. Joe isn't really the best player at getting his own shot, especially if Jones isn't on the court. Should have gone with Whitt or Sills with the last possession.

Alabama has quietly played really good basketball since falling at Penn State in December.

Crimson Tide are 4-1 in their last five games and are averaging 95.0 PPG during that span.

This team can REALLY score.

We play great defense at home as well. If we can flip that switch on the road defensively we can make noise in this conference. I think we beat Auburn and Kentucky honestly. Kentucky is a tough win at Rupp, but Auburn at home I think we fluster them.

I'd be happy with a split with Auburn and Kentucky. Obviously I'd rather beat Auburn, but a win at Rupp would be huge as well.

Wimp said Ms St just freaked out about Ala pushing the ball up court fast on offense, and just about abandoned the offensive rebounding. He said it doesnt make any sense to have one rebounder and run 4 back on defense. You can tell he doesnt think much of Ms State's coaching. And he doesnt think they play consistently hard like Alabama and Auburn. He said the Ms State players are more interested in doing what is best for them personally, than playing in a way that is best for the team. Obviously he was referring to their center. Wimp said KY lives at the free throw line so if Alabama wants to beat them they will have to figure out how to stop that from happening. He picked Ala to beat Auburn. Wimp also said Alabama is either going to shoot a 3 or a layup. They dont take intermediate shots. But he said, thats OK, thats just what they do.

Eh, I take all of Wimp's stuff like that with a grain of salt.

We forced State to play our game, which we have done almost every game we've played the last 6 weeks. We played them to enough of a draw on the glass early that they decided it wasn't worth it to split rebounds and on the ones they lost get beat back for 3's, so they changed their strategy.

In terms of playing hard or all that, State just looks like a bunch of our old teams. Howland isn't a good offensive coach and never has been. They don't really run much stuff, which means they do a lot of dribbling, iso and shooting intermediate range jumpers. I think they play hard, I just think they aren't always sure what to do - which is basically me describing Alabama basketball for the last decade.

Our defensive effort in this game and the first half of the Florida game was outstanding.
We nullified their size advantage completely. Reese,Galin and even Davis were a wall.
Three blocked shots for Reese? Who's was that masked man?

Well, Bart Hyche said some of the same things before the game. I would believe what those 2 say about BB any day of the week. State is not a good bball team.

Yea I don't think they are a very good team either. They aren't a terrible or bad team, they are just a pretty bleh team that should be much better.

As someone said last night, they really remind me of a ton of Alabama teams the last 10 years. They look like a 22-10 team in warmups and turn into a 17-15 team.

Fat chance of that happening in Rupp.

We have a 69.3% chance of making the NCAAT after last nights win according to TeamRankings

People make jokes about Coach Cal rolling the balls out a practice. It honestly feels like if there is one coach that does that in the SEC, its Howland. He can get players though.

Not getting my hopes up but do think we have a chance. Regardless, if we make the tournament or not I’m completely happy with this season.

Hope the striped shirts are not wearing BigBlue underwear. Real problem in Lexington.
Do you know their fans keep track of Officials with a Chart and grade them on how they treated Kentucky?
Not the team but their fan sites, I mean who does that?

Hell yes, at 1.5% interest we'll have tripled that money by the time we build the new arena in 2097!

Didn’t they go on the Facebook of that one referees business and just give bad review after bad review because he made some bad calls when they played UNC? That’s some LSU shite right there.
