No, but he knows Whimp. Whimp recruited a few of his players back in the late 80s and early 90s. Back in 92, 1A, 3A, and 5A played the state tournament at Coleman, while 2A, 4A, and 6A played in Auburn. We were 2A and got bounced so we didn't go to Auburn. My dad still wanted to see some games so we went to Coleman and watched some teams for the whole day. I'm a 10 year old kid with ADHD so I got bored and started walking around. Somehow, I ended up in the practice gym and to my surprise they were shooting around, but Whimp wasn't there. Horry and Hollywood were teaching me how to shoot a jumper better or something and Whimp walks in and says, "Who in the hell is that kid?" I swear, he looks at Sprewell and says, "Is he your kid"

Would love to go 2-1 in that tournament. That’s probably stretching it though. 1-2 probably a lot more realistic.

It also depends on where the 1 win comes from. Southern Miss is almost assuredly gonna be the last place game. Going 1-2 with the lone win against them would be meh. But 1-2 against UNC, Michigan/ISU, and one of the really good teams on the other side of the bracket would be a massive success

Assuming we lose to UNC, I’d like think that we’d have a good shot at either Michigan or Iowa St.

Great to see the effort so far. Still haven't played any team that is really worth mentioning (although Rice looks much better than previous thought). We have a good test against South Dakota Friday though. They lead the nation in 3 point percentage currently.

On Thursday, the Razorbacks play South Dakota, who is currently shooting 51.1% from deep, best in the country.

Yeah, the hope would be to get a victory over Michigan/Iowa State to get to 1-1 and have a shot at another big resume win against Seton Hall or Oregon.

Many of us go back to the plaid palace or earlier so you know what you can do with that FOG nonsense.

I've been on here bitching with you guys since Grant. Guess what?? We've all been correct.

Not one person in this thread is blaming Oats and we all come here to bitch and praise things that we see. If someone is too much of a sunshine pumper to read the good and bad, then this might be the wrong thread for your self righteous arse. (I can't remember anyone being unjustly negative in all of these years)

Isn't that kind of what this thread is for? If not, I'll gladly stop, but I've always kind of considered it the bar and all of us sitting around watching the game on TV.

This is exactly how I see it. I can sit home and bar talk with a bunch of folks that I respect. I'm not going to change because I believe that it's therapeutic. I feel like most of us vent during the game and it helps the steam to blow off quicker.

And to be fair , we point out positives as well. Hell, half of us were making a Final Four run before the season started jk

This thread to me , shows that we actually CARE about the basketball program and are not FOGs

Well when Reese starts hitting these 3s and playing great defense we all know he is capable of and Petty becomes a better ball handler in the next week , we can prolly pick our score

Honestly, Bitching and Moaning with all of you guys in here is the only thing that kept me watching during Avery’s Annual February collapse.

I do wonder if the guys will come out more focused for a blue blood like UNC. If we can just cut down the turnovers I think we could acquit ourselves well.
