Im not sure who was really first, I think we were, but the rivalry between Alabama and Auburn is a great catalyst for these athletes. If Alabama is doing good in something it makes Auburn want to spend money to keep up and vice-versa. to the State of Alabama.

Just like everything, Bama was first and AU trying to play catch up because God forbid they don't get the spotlight or recognition for something. We dominated hockey against those nerds for forever and then they decided to get better and they've beaten us a few times. They were bottom of the barrel in softball until they hired that corrupt Meyers and they made the World Series. Same thing with Men's basketball until they hired a corrupt Pearl. Seems to be a common theme.
