I’m definitely concerned about his deep ball. He has a cannon, and William has been held a couple of times, but the fact is he hasn’t connected yet

FSU’s qb has 2 decent completions. The rest is just them running the ball all over us.
The problem isnt Simpson. It’s a weak team on the LOS and a defensive scheme that doesn’t work and the DC won’t change.

He literally missed two TD passes and a gimmick 4th down. That's 21 points.
He is late on every throw and the ball is always behind WRs. He processes too slow.
Some of those times the line was blocking and he had to get rid of the ball and he's still processing.

Hard to blame a guy that throws for 250+, 2 TDs, 0 TOs when the game plan became obvious that we had to throw every down. He had a few bad reads in his first game. We aren’t saying anything about William’s dropping 3+ easy passes.
Ty wasn’t the problem. We somehow forgot that the trenches win games. We’ve lacked a line for years now. Going to be brutal this year if that’s our line play going forward.
