Its wild to me that people that people have already written off Mack, who ive been impressed with. Im sure once Russell is the starter, the same people will be clamoring for whoever his backup is

It'll be a good competition. Mack has the kind of arm that is rare even in major college football. However, his accuracy on the underneath stuff has not really impressed me. I don't know how easy that will be to fix, but if he could he would be really impressive.

I've written Mack off. He's not beating out Keelon.

Sorry, I know you're a highly emotional woman, but nobody has been irrational about Ty. All of the criticism is fair. Now, his camp claims the issues he started experiencing were due to his injuries. Maybe so? It looks like they've convinced some NFL GM's; however, I don't care what they say, we'll see come draft day if it comes to fruition.

Alabama needs to bring in a good D2/FCS starter that is willing to compete and happy to be a backup. Sorta like Chambliss at Ole Miss.

I get the feeling our staff will be waiting until deep into Fall camp or game week to name a starter and the loser may be declaring their intention to transfer before game 4 if not earlier.

Yeah well, that's what AJ said. And even though he might have "gotten a first round grade." It does not mean he's going in the first round. We'll see in the combine and interviews. I hope he does well. No ill will toward Ty.

Just watching Mack play and I know it's not fair because he came in the game in a difficult situation, but I don't get the feel he's an elite talent at QB.
One play in particular, he had Horton breaking open but held the ball too long and then decided to bail and was sacked.
He also has some accuracy issues and just does not have the "it" factor Keelon has. We'll see.

Unless he combines and interviews poorly, he will be the third QB on enough draft boards that I'd suspect he will go in the first round. The average number of QBs taken in the first round of the NFL draft is between 3 to 4. The quality of QB may change but the need for them rarely does. Hitting on QB is so important that if you need it, you're taking it. Nobody waits a year to take a QB. The Dolphins will probably be taking one again this year.

KR has the most upside I’ve seen in a while. He’s pretty quick to run through reads and when he finds what he wants, that thing is out of his hand and on target FAST.

I like Mack, but I’ve got to think that KR is the guy.

Best of luck to Ty. Would love to see him land somewhere like Pittsburgh.

If I knew they were good for it, I'd let someone name any number they want to bet on Ty going in the 5th round or later.

Unless some bombshell drops between now and then (ie, he murders someone), zero chance he makes it to the third round. 5th is just an absurd take from a “Bama fan” or anyone else.

Maybe so but I just do not see him as an NFL starter next year. Nope.

He never referred to Ty as a retard, or the leader of a locker room regime holding the team and coaches hostage, so there's that.

Ty is a brother in Christ. All I have ever done is been critical of his play and decision making when he got it wrong.

These same guys call other players retards they insult coaches wives and insult anyone who dares to have a different opinion but somehow I'm the one with hate?

Just note each one of them are just projecting their own hatred on others including me.

Thank you Ty, you gave it everything. Stayed when you could've jumped, worked hard, won a lot of games this year, I appreciate you.

Go live that NFL dream.

Ty coming back would have given us best shot to win next year. I understand him not coming back but I hate it for team/fans. It’s rare for a 1st year starter to do great things over a long grueling season and Ty did much better with less help than most realize.

Nobody hates Ty and nobody should. He gave his all for his Alma Mater, if he was not good enough, so be it . He’ll be a lifelong loyal valuable alumnus, something which only a few of us can aspire to.
He is a warrior who gave his all and is now moving on to a new battleground and we should be in his corner all the way.
