Welcome, traveler from pre-1994. You see, we have these fantastic things called search engines.

I asked for a good site. All aren't equal.

Does a search engine help with that? It doesn't. Is this forum similar to tidefans? it's not, I guess you're too dumb to realize that.

he's been throwing into pachyderm-sized windows most of the year. Against Bama the windows are going to shrink, and shrink massively. Add to that the fact that Bma is going to plug the run quite well, close distances faster than OU is used to, and tackle better in space as well - and it becomes clear that OU is going to have periods of struggle.

I agree.!
I think we will see more of us mixing in some press coverage putting our hands on there Wr's.
Those large windows to throw in wont be there because Murray wont have those 5-6 seconds he's gotten used too.
I think Murray going to try to make plays with his legs in the beginning and will tuck and run rather than force it down field.
Lincoln calls more deep balls than any OC Ive seen this year and they have been successful,
because of the time Murray has for the play to develop.
I don't think Lincoln has the patience to go away from that and we might see this if we jump on top out the gate.
Our first possession needs to eat clock but score a TD.I am not saying we wont be aggressive down field.
But we need to win the first half time of possession.
I think murray and Lincoln will start to take more deep shots and become more one dimensional.

This is the game were our RB and Tua dropping balls to them in the flat will have huge success.
OU cant play man and there Zones are not something the handle well either.
Running well early and drops in the flats are gonna be huge.

How much time would it have taken to read a couple of posts on a few of the sites in the google results and find a good site or 2? 5 minutes? I've done it multiple times over the years as we've played different teams.

How much time did it take to get a recommendation from someone by asking here? Hours and hours.

Also, if a person spends 2 minutes on Tidefans, it becomes obvious that it sucks. Same would go for a Sooner site.

I also specifically said that the 'best' sites would be among the top 6 or so, not literally in perfect order starting with 1. This website is listed 3rd if you search "Alabama football forum".

Lastly, asking for 'best' is entirely subjective. One person's idea of that may not align with yours, thereby wasting more time with a bad recommendation.

The best solution is to not be lazy, and just google it and look through the results real quick. It takes only minutes. Sure, I'm a dick sometimes, but my way of solving this problem is faster and provides a more reliable solution, and your position is indefensible.

But calling me dumb made you feel good for a minute, and I'm glad you got to experience that. It's the little things that make life worth living. Merry Christmas.

the fact you are still talking about my asking a reasonable question is telling. Just pipe down and move on man.

No one is forcing you to reply to me. No one is forcing me to reply to you. Both of us are choosing to, and are in the same boat.

Secondly, the convo continued because a few of us were arguing about what the correct action was regarding finding the best recommendation. As a matter of fact, that convo could very well continue, as Search Engine Optimization is going to end up ordering the sites by those financially healthy enough to afford Search Engine Optimization, thereby producing a first page list of results that will definitely include the guy's desired best Oklahoma board, regardless of what his "best" means. There's no way anyone's best Oklahoma board recommendation isn't on that first page of results, and is definitely a much better way to get what he's (You're?) asking for.

I don't mind at all arguing this, and it's kinda fun in a way. A lot of that is getting the likes of you riled up a bit. It's fun, honestly.

Let me ask you this: How did it go for you regarding asking the question? Did you get what you wanted expeditiously? No, you didn't. You could have, though, if you had used a bit of sense. And like like being a smartass to folks who don't use sense. And here we are.

Would you like to hit reply, and implore me to move on again? Or would you like to lead by example? Your call. I'm obviously flexible.

You could also choose to reply to my post a page ago and talk some football as it relates to Oklahoma, which I'd enjoy doing. Your call.

Some pretty interesting posts on this OU site. I think they like the idea of facing a stubborn Tua/Saban at 75% over Hurts.

LINK

Here's 1 of the posts...

I still think the best outcome for OU is if they try to force Tua out there. Being a lefty, that left ankle injury is basically guaranteed to throw off his accuracy and strength. may take a quarter or two, but I’d bet toull see mistakes.

I think worst case case scenario is they play hurts mostly and then bring tua in at spots.

There was a kid on woolyal back in the day who made an account and trolled them. They used his email he signed up with and Googled it to find an old Pokemon site he posted on. To say they got the last laugh is an understatement. Was some gold in there, Then woolly members flooded their board and there was all out hell and their site owners begged Woolly for peace.

Let's.

I think the single most dangerous thing about Oklahoma from Bama's perspective is Murray's incredible wheels, particularly on broken passing plays/3rd down. I do not believe that Oklahoma can matriculate the ball down the field on us all game using their normal Big12 plan - our secondary is just too good. I think the plan might be to run on Bama using Murray out of Passing looks. He has blazing speed.

I actually look for Riley to draw up a game plan that the commentators will be agasp at in the first quarter. I'm not sure what it'll be, but I expect it to be different and have us on our heels early. Riley is at the top of his game and is maybe the single most influential offensive mind in all of football at this moment.

Also, if I'm Riley, I script the first quarter and the 3rd quarter with completely different gameplans, and I do it now. Bama is awesome at halftime adjustments. They should turn that against us.

What say you?

This is the most concerning thing to me. I wish we would call more pure zone in this game because of our DBs always having their backs turned. We need to knock the hell out of Murray, to make him nervous

He's not just fast, he looks much faster than everyone. You don't see that a lot.

So do we get up field in the pass rush or Tebow him and keep him inside the pocket? what's better?

Absolutely not. This is the quickest path to a Bama loss.

We must collapse the pocket from outside in, and maintain violent hands in order to not be engaged if/when Murray takes off. We must "rush the passer" with the principal goal of taking away his run lanes.

Yeah he's quick and elusive.

He can drop dimes in tight coverage, too.

Between RPOs and his extending plays on rollouts, our Defense is gonna have their hands full.

We need to hit him early and often to shake his confidence and slow him down.

Prevatt, maybe we should play more old school zone and try to keep everything in front of us. Bend but don't break and just outscore them. I like us in a shootout.
