I agree. No reason at all for him to play. If he wants to go through practice and get mental reps for a head start on the spring that’s great, but him playing this year would be reckless.

No doubt. Lack of speed keeps him out of the top two rounds either this year or next.

I would be shocked if Najee fell past the second round.

Najee just needs to got to a team that understand his value.
Many Miami hurricane fans said this kid was to soft and would never make in the league.
Now he playing for one of the most physical franchise teams reputation wise in the league.
There are teams like NE,PITT, RAVENS THAT ALWAYS DRAFT WELL.

I mean, he might sneak in the bottom of the second round but running back is not a huge value position unless you’ve got a huge game changer type and I don’t see him higher than sixth at best (Swift, Dobbins, Taylor, Etienne, Moss), and he’s not going to run very well.

Najee is that type though IMO.

His lack of explosiveness holds him back from that level, I think.

But he's definitely going to find a home and get a shot to be 15-20 carry a game back matched up with an explosive guy.

I think you’re misunderstanding me. I think Najee is a very good RB and I see him as an NFL player. But the game changers at that level have top end speed. Najee’s longest carry here has been I think like 30 yards. It’s not because he hasn’t had chances. He just doesn’t have that extra gear.

Yeah, I mean, I'm not trying to be obtuse-he clearly lacks the top end speed of a guy like Henry. But IMO what he lacks in top end speed, he more than makes up for with his ability to consistently get chunks of yards, and be explosive catching balls out of the backfield.

The fact that he has maintained a 6.2 ypc over his career without many 30+ yard runs to inflate that average is almost more impressive. I'm not trying to discount the value of big time, long runs, because that would be dumb, but you get what I am saying.

His 10-yard split, shuttle, and cone drill are far more important than his 40 time. Harris will be fine.

Joe Borrow will be pissed when Trey is awarded the Heisman.

Yes, he will be fine. Who said he wouldn’t?

You have always been a big fan of Najee and I am with you. Bama fans always seem to want the RB on the bench more than the starter for some reason. Keilan Robinson is the guy that fits that description. Najee Harris is dragging his nuts over the defenses of the SEC and Auburn is next.
