I know last year early on it seemed as if Jalen struggled reading the defense. I wonder what changed after USF and how he started doing so well? What did Rees show him to help him grasp it? Was it single read and take off? Weigh in…

We played LSU and the worst defense in SEC history and then the miracle at Auburn.

He still can't read defenses.
Rees tried to cutdown what he had to read.

If he had played worth a damn the rest of the game we wouldn't have been behind and in a 4th and 31 situation.

Rees was mid.
If he knew how to call plays we would have beaten Michigan.
This is like saying Golding is great because Wommack is even worse

Common knowledge that milroe has now forced two OCs to build a special offense around him that he can color by number with crayons

Milroe had 100 yards passing, and turned the ball over, and drifted into the rush lane over and over for a million sacks.
Nobody can make milroe climb the pocket. I've only seen him actually climb the pocket a couple times in two years of football.
It wasn't Rees offense. Blame the dumbed down drawing plays in dirt he had to roll with to keep milroe on the field.
You'll say anything to back up the LANK gang- why bother

Incredible insight, Marktastic.

I don’t think he was great. Something clicked for Milroe last year and I’m curious what that was.

100% agree. I just wonder what helped him last year. I don’t think DeBoer is going to give Ty a shot. Just hoping we can see a similar turnaround like last year to finish out the season.

Jalen still struggled. Georgia and LSU were really his only solid games.

So do you think DeBoer’s comments about not having the whole playbook installed is just a hint that Milroe isn’t capable of grasping its complexities?

The defense has progressed since Vandy.
Milroe has regressed.
Also, shout out to Ja'Corey Brooks. He knew Milroe wasn't the guy first.

That was the worst called game I have ever seen

That miracle was necessitated by a terrible offensive performance overall. There was one good play in the entire game.
