No one’s called him the goat OC, we’ve just pointed out the playcalling isn’t the issue

It’s not like we’re dealing with BoB trying to kill Bryce with long developing routes here

Rees was known as Turnover Tommy when he was QB at Notre Dame. He is just living vicariously thru Milroe.

Samson, if you read the same AL.com article I did, you would be fair to point out he later became known as Touchdown Tommy. I'm not an apologist for Rees but another quote was also telling in that article... "Smartest football mind" a couch knew.

I too wish we could have hired an established OC but they don't grow exactly on trees these days.

Rees is making fine play calls. It's not his fault his quarterback won't step up in the pocket and fails to make a read or makes a shite read There are wide open options on half of our plays and we physically can't get the ball to them
Holy frick what a shite take

Yes we do have long developing patterns and they are of no help to a QB that can't process all these options.

Watch the all-22 from Texas and get back to me on that being a shite take. We missed multiple wide open guys all night and Herbstreit was railing us for it

If I were calling plays for Milroe and I wanted to call a pass play the first and most important question I'd ask would be, "Is it possible and is it likely an off target defender can peel off his man and pick this pass off?" Every pick of Milroe this year would have been avoided if Rees had asked that question first.
