Why the frick didn't they crowd the paint at the end. Alabama was on a 9-2 run near the end and then completely gave up, allowing AU to get easy buckets inside.

Inexcusable is right. UGHHHHH

We should do the wave when the opposing player is up to shoot a FT. It would be awesome.

I saw ASU distract a FT shooter by introducing Michael Phelps. It worked lol

Maybe a loss to Georgia won't hurt so much if can somehow come away with a W against LSU, but it is essential we come out with one win against the following:

quote:

vs #8 Texas A&M 18-5 (7-3) RPI: 17
@ Florida 15-8 (6-4) RPI: 22
@ #20 Kentucky 17-6 (7-3) RPI: 19

Very nervous for that Florida game. When they're hot- which they usually are at home- they are a nightmare. Especially in terms of the offense they run.

No way we win at Kentucky. U have to have a very talented team and still play lights out just to have a chance to win there with those refs. It's already bad enough with the way refs are calling games this year, and it's always pathetic at Rupp. Ur right on the A&M and Florida games tho. I really think that A&M game is a live or die situation. Win and we are back in serious discussion for the tourney, lose and were pretty much dead and gone for the NCAA tourney.

I think to make the NCAAT we have to do the following (% of need)

- beat Texas A&M (97%)
- beat all of the "bad" teams left at home (100%)
- beat one of LSU/FLA/UK on the road (66%)
- beat Georgia in Athens (80%)
- beat one of the NCAAT bound teams from the SEC in the SECT (90%)

It isn't probable, but we have a shot. Gotta beat A&M first.

If we finish with the following
- beat all the "bad teams"
- beat A&M at home
- beat UGA in Athens
- lose @ UF, @ UK, @ LSU
- beat Ole Miss Rd 1
- beat South Carolina Rd 2
- lose Texas A&M Rd 3

That puts us at 20-13 with an RPI of 43. I think that is the bare minimum we can do and make the tournament.

Do before, but beat A&M and go to the SECT Finals and lose to UK, 21-13, RPI 34.

Do before, lose to USCe in the 2nd round, 19-13 with an RPI of 56.

Win @ LSU, lose 2nd game of SECT, 20-12 with an RPI of 41.

Bottom line - we really need to steal one of those 3 road games and win the other games.

Agree 100%.

Seems like a very long shot, which sucks.

A long shot at this point in the season is way better than anything I was hoping for coming into this year. I'll be really happy with an NIT bid.

Totally agree. Thought we'd be basically what Auburn and Tennessee are right now at this point, around .500 with an RPI of 100+.

Oh I wouldn't be upset if we didn't make the tourney. But man would it be nice

Imagine if we end up with 20+ wins whether it's bc of the NIT or not. Next year we would be coming off of a "down year" or "rebuilding year" where we had 20 wins and we have a top 15 possibly could be top 10 class coming in along with the players that return next year. And we have a great coach in Avery Johnson. I bet we may at least get some votes to be in the preseason top 25 next year
