Jim Benton was the 2nd WR to hit the 2K mark. Hutson was almost 5K yards clear of him.

An All-Time great in any era. also played Defensive End and had 30 Int in six years. Played only 11 years of 9 to 12 games per year yet had 99 TDs. Crazy good.

only Ala player stat I can think of that tops that is Joe Sewell only striking out 48 times in the last 9 years of his career, close to 5,000 AB's. Won't be touched.

Hutson is credited with changing the philosophy of the passing game....anybody know who recruited him AND Bryant to Alabama from Arkansas?
