We’re not gonna end up with bottom of the barrel backup plans, but we’re also not gonna be in real contention for any of the “top” transfers in the country, and never really have been even with the old staff. Our former staff, mostly Hodgson, really loved to hype up our recruiting whether it was going as planned or not. He was basically a message board poster
Sure sounded like we would have our choice of guys out of the portal when this was posted. Seems like, except for Walton, we're hoping to land our back-up options at this point.

Are there any more forwards we’re looking at besides Mack?

Quinerly and Burnett were pretty big named transfers at the time we landed them, both former 5 stars.

We have to at least take a swing at Mgbako now that he's reopened his recruitment right?

Man I bet that's been tough for Oats to have to be looking for 3 new assistant coaches while trying to get players from the portal, while having to re-recruit our own current players as you have to do every year now with the portal.
I bet he has had 0 off time this offseason so far.

I am VERY happy that Pringle didn't transfer but am pretty surprised too, he could start on a lot of teams.
Every 40 minutes he plays he is averaging 15 rebounds and 17 points on 85% shooting which is insane. He's averaging 4 fouls every 20 minutes he plays which is his main problem.
Do you guys think Bedaiko continues to get most minutes at center next year or it's more of an even split between him and Pringle?

If you think Clowney is one of the worst three point shooters in the country then what about Auburns 5 star PF Traore that shot 19% from three?
Kal'el Ware who everyone in the thread seemed to want to come here and replace Clowney next year shot 27% from three last year.

I don’t see how Pringle would be eligible to play immediately had he transferred again. With only being in school 3 years, I doubt he’s going to be graduating in May. I could be wrong but that’s why I’ve never been too concerned about him leaving.

That's a good point I was thinking about that earlier. He would most likely have to sit out a year if he transferred.

Is Pringle going to be a senior next season, or does he have a covid year?

My grandfather had Parkinson’s. But this was in the 70s. A friend I worship with has it and the drug they have her own has kept her independent longer than her children thought it would.
Different subject. I have been lurking on this site since around 2017 and finally signed up last year. I can usually figure out the acronyms. But I can’t for the life of me figure out FOG. So I guess I am just having to ask.??

Football Only Gump
My stepdad and my wife’s dad both have Parkinson's. My step dad has had it about 5 years and still gets around good, is working as a security guard.
My wife's dad has had it about a year and is having a rough time, has fallen a few times. It’s a cruel disease.

It's been tough.
My dad is 74, Vietnam vet, retired from Bellsouth/AT&T, worked his arse off for almost 40 years. Started out on line crew climbing telephone poles with tree climbers. When he'd go deer hunting, he'd use his climbers and sit in a tree from daylight to dark unless he killed one.
Growing up, he was serious into weightlifting. At his max, he benched 450 and squatted 750. I stayed in line because I knew he'd whip my arse.
I know he's older but watching him shrink down to nothing and can't control himself, it's tough.
Respect the hell out of him though.

Yeah sorry to hear about yalls loved ones that have it too.
Thankfully the treatments for it are lightyears ahead of where they were 20 or even 10 years ago.
I know thats not much consolation.

Man that does sound tough, sorry. Be thankful he lived 70 something good years and you got to spend a lot of time with him. My dad died of cancer when he was 55. I was actually talking to him in person he died, it was rough.
