Yeah bad enough that he is gonna be a first rounder. You're just proving my point, the more you type the more clueless about basketball you sound.

SDSU had a top 3 point defense in the country. About everyone that played them shot bad from three. Uconn only hit 6 threes against them.
Of course you wouldn't know that.

34-35% from 3 in College is solid. Anybody who disagrees doesn’t watch that much basketball

True and Mack’s career 3P% is 36%, and thats from averaging 4 years together, not exactly a small sample size.

Clowney was “one of the worst 3 point shooters in the country”. I have heard it all now.

Bahahahahahaha.
Clowney is getting drafted because of his potential. Good form that scouts think will improve mightily. But right now he’s a very bad shooter.

I’d love to hear you argue otherwise lmao

Totally agree. You cannot just rely on the 3 pointer. We saw how that worked this year. Give me a big body that has some post moves.

You’re not wrong. Clowney would probably be at the bottom when it come to making a clutch shot.
He played his arse off on both ends of the court. But his 3pt shot was subpar

So you agree that Clowney was one of the worst 3 point shooters in college basketball? Cause thats what the guy said, he didnt say Clowneys shot was subpar or that he wasnt clutch.

This thread is 90% FOG's who have become basketball experts since March after not watching us play all season before then.

I'd love to know what Clowney's 3 fg% was in the first half of the season vs the second half. Hell, even before vs after the shooting. Because that's when guys went ice cold. It really got bad after Miller got dragged through the press.

Yeah. He was a shitty 3pt shooter

He wasn't shitty, but that's not what he said he said he is one of the worst 3 point shooters in the country.
You're as clueless about basketball as he is, congratulations. Probably an alter of the same guy.

He was a streaky shooter for sure, either very hot or very cold, and Im not saying he was a great 3 point shooter. 28% would easily put him in the top 70% of college basketball three-point shooters. Saying he was one of the worst shooters in the country is the dumbest statement I have ever seen made in this thread, and there are a lot of dumb statements made in here.

The 82nd best 3 point shooter in college basketball last year, Michael Dunne, shot 32.6 percent, so Clowney's 28% is definitely not one of the worst in college basketball.

I’ve been keeping up with Bama basketball sense the early 80’s. Went to a many games past three decades. Even through the shitty David Hobbs yrs.
But I don’t get on here everyday and bitch and moan and cry like a sissy when things go wrong or when someone says something about a player’s skill set that’s negative.
You think Clowney gives a shite about what anybody on here says about him? He doesn’t even knows this board exists probably.
Grow the frick up. Stop being so thin skin about shite that doesn’t even matter. They guy was just making a point rather you agree with it or not.

935 Division 1 players took 100 or more 3 pointers. Clowney ranked 896 out of 935 in 3PT %, which was in the bottom 5%.
1,254 Division 1 players took 75 or more 3 pointers. Clowney ranked 1,164 out of 1,254 in 3PT%, which was in the bottom 7%.
1,590 Division 1 players took 50 or more 3 pointers. Clowney ranked 1,405 out of 1,590 in 3PT%, which was in the bottom 12%.
Guess it depends where you draw the line at "worst", but he was certainly bringing up the rear nationally of guys who shot more than 1-2 a game.

Better tell the teams not to draft him in the first round as a true freshman then, cause thats whats about to happen.
Maybe the NBA scouts need to hire FOGs to do their scouting.
