Did you actually go to Bama? This could not be more wrong in my opinion. Where near campus in Tuscaloosa is even remotely close to as bad as the Northgates of LSU or Tigerland area?
No doubt, its not equivalent between the two...you take one step off LSU's campus and you're effectively in the 3rd world. West End is not that bad at all.

I had no idea things had gotten so bad in Tuscghanistan.

It must be nice to be Arkansas. They are in everybody’s top schools in the portal because of fricking WalMart and Tyson fricking chicken

Maybe making it to the elite 8 two years in a row then the sweet 16 the next year and having a lot of spots open is helping them too? I mean you have to give them some credit. Plus they do contact everyone that enters the portal.

They’ve had success on the court and they have plenty of NIL money. That will equal success in the portal. We’ve had success but probably can’t cut the check they can.

I dont think our coaches are big on having to be the highest bidder to get a guy to come here, Saban and Oats have both said as much. If you think thats a bad approach to take thats fine but I don't think we will ever get a guy by offering him the most money.
NIL doesn't seem to be helping Arkansas too much in football recruiting. They just signed the 10th best class in the conference and last year they signed the 12th best class in the conference.

Who is he and why does anyone think he'd have inside info?
Scott Whittle. He's from the Shoals area. I first knew of him from his local shaved ice business, Miami Ice. He seemed to always be at basketball games (my wife was an assistant girls coach at an area school). I think he got involved with AAU somehow from there. I never knew the guy to be involved with coaching or anything like that and always found it very strange that he ended up being what he is today. He gave off strong Uncle Rico vibes to me. I'm sure there's more to the story.

I think the Denver Jones ship has sailed. Either that, or he's trolling the Auburn fanbase. He's been liking a bunch of Auburn related tweets.

In my opinion, JQ’s leaving would be addition by subtraction. He’s too streaky and turnover prone. It’s time to move on. He lacks game and team awareness, (though he wasn’t the only one). Oates needs to adjust his philosophy. Not a single final four team was run and gun and jacking a bunch of three’s. At some point you have to be able to make mid-range jumpers and layups with contact. His style is fun to play and watch, but I don’t think it’s sustainable for 35 games.

Have y’all seen that pic of Chucks brother? They look exactly alike. Even the gap in the teeth are the same.

Hell, I'm not sure if he was the same after the shooting. He was actually there when it went down. That can definitely have a psychological impact. But it was really once teams realized he didn't have a 3 and would only drive.

Football teams are too expensive. Basketball NIL is a much better hobby for rich people.

It was more to it than that, he was missing wide open layups.
If he does transfer I bet its to Arizona, they were his runner up out of HS and their starting PG just transferred to WV.

Too expensive for Wal Mart and Tyson chicken? I doubt that.

Walmart or Tyson doesnt give a frick about some transfer PG from Washington.
They clean up in the portal because Muss is a great recruiter and more importantly they have major minutes up for grabs.

Arkansas can’t outspend people in football because Schools too boosters will spend in that sport. Not every booster is gonna throw out that money for basketball while Arkansas does.
