I am sure the staff is more clued in to the situation than random fans speculating. Tim Watts says he will be eligible.

I think Walton will be our starting 3. I’d like to add the point guard from Washington and possibly a 6’’4 or 6’5 combo 2 guards to round out the portal. I think if Pringle remains with Bediako and Walters our front court is solidified. All of this is assuming Clowney leaves.

I’d like to add Denver Jones and a skilled 4 through the portal on top of Walton.
Keep Bediako, Sears, Bradley, Griffen and Pringle. Need guys to stay that know what it takes to win. It matters. Experience.

I havent seen any twitter rumors. Its just that if kids dont have a stellar first season it seems like the thing they like to do is to leave.

There was some stuff going on where he’d been accused of some very bad things that involved an underage girl. Apparently he even had to take time off from playing while it was being looked into. Don’t know all the facts of what went down but SOMETHING happened and we just don’t need that in our program rn. I’m assuming whatever happened is true or else we likely wouldn’t be releasing an in-state kid like that.

Did we release him? I thought he didn't sign. In any event, that was always a bit of an odd recruitment in the current CBB climate. Off court shenanigans aside, he's a guy who probably won't contribute much his first year or two and those aren't the kind of kids worth signing at a P-6 program. It's just a wasted scholarship because odds are he's going to hit the portal looking for more minutes before you get anything out of him.

BOL reporting that (according to Jack Doss) he’s still signed but RJ will release a statement soon (assuming that means he’ll be announcing his “de-commitment”)
