Yep - I do think the mid-major games are a bit easier this year.
Longwood, USA, Jax State, South Dakota St, Jackson State are all games that we should win by double digits. None of those teams are going to be on Top 10 mid-major lists. SDSU loses their entire roster and while Jacksonville State and Longwood are solid lower level teams that are a "best they can do is a 14/15 seed" type programs.
Liberty returns most of their roster and will be a really good middie this year, though.
But, we at least have a little bit of a slow start to get our footing before the tournament out West, then a pretty big break with SDSU in the middle of it to work on stuff, then the Houston/Memphis/Gonzaga stretch...........then a nice 11 day break with Jackson State in the middle of it.
I actually like the structure of the schedule a whole lot more this year than last. Last year just felt like we were rolling from one incredibly difficult challenge to the next, this one feels more like wave.......break......wave.....break before conference play starts.
seems like oats did tone it down slightly but still out of his mind compared to most high major coaches to schedule these kind of games as our few gimmes. liberty does have future bracket buster written all over them. theyre all 30, well coached, shoot lights out, and that little guard of theirs is a legit pest. typical oats we arent arkansas fashion to say we want them our second game. a great wake up call before the pk85 to say the least.

Creighton and USC will both be in today for five-star junior Trentyn Flowers, he told @Stockrisers. He’s been quite the commodity this week.
He’s had Alabama, Arkansas, Xavier, Oregon, Georgia State, Oklahoma, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Houston, etc, in this week.

30 impact freshmen for the 2022-23 season
It’s never too early to start looking ahead to next season!
Check below for our list of 30 impact freshmen for the 2022-23 college basketball season.
In no particular order:
quote:
Brandon Miller, Alabama: Nate Oats has been searching for an elite long and lanky forward since he lost Herb Jones two seasons ago. The 6-8 Miller is a prime candidate to fill the void. Smooth and skilled, Miller needs to add weight and strength, but should fit in immediately with the Crimson Tide’s spread offensive approach.
Jaden Bradley, Alabama: Another season brings another highly touted point guard to Tuscaloosa. Just like JD Davison a year ago, Bradley is a five-star prospect who will have to be ready to contribute from the first day of practice — especially with Jahvon Quinerly’s return date in question following a knee injury.

Basketball season needs to start so we can melt in here without getting extremely stupid like all the FOG trash that fricks this place up every Sunday during the fall.

I'm so ready to melt about something insignificant, been working on my game all summer.
I wonder if all Ala career scoring leader records are safe now with the way players come and go.
