Alabama’s Nate Oats, Auburn’s Bruce Pearl, and San Diego State’s Brian Dutcher completed virtual meetings today with Furman transfer Noah Gurley, he told @Stockrisers.
IMO, a Top-10 transfer on the market. Will make his next destination official this weekend.

JQ
Shack
Primo

Gurley
Our 2nd unit is a NCAA tournament team
Bold move putting in (at least) two starters in our second unit

Glad to admit I was wrong. Thought he'd go somewhere guaranteed to be a starter. No guarantee here.

I did too at first when he entered the portal, but with what he had been saying the last couple of weeks I started to feel like we were gonna get him.

Alabama adds another top talent with more in the works. Should be a preseason top 10 team next season.

247Sports’ national basketball director Eric Bossi shares his thoughts on UA’s newest pledge:
“A McDonald’s All-American who ranked among the top 40 players in the class of 2020 coming out of high school, Burnett arrived at Texas Tech with a reputation for being a dangerous wing scorer and above the rim finisher in transition. Playing for an experienced team in Lubbock and coming off a summer where COVID-19 made the transition to college difficult, Burnett never really found his footing in Lubbock.
“Based on what Burnett showed as a high school player, I think it is reasonable to expect him to return to form on the offensive end. He will have had time to get stronger and to keep working on his ball-handling, which were his biggest struggles. The most exciting thing about his time at Tech and what Alabama fans should be looking forward to is that Burnett had shown signs of becoming a big-time defensive player. If Nate Oats and staff get Burnett back on track offensively and continue to improve his defense, he could become one of the more dangerous two-way players in the SEC.”

So if we had the number 3 class before Burnett committed, I think we have the number 1 class now on paper.

Another 5-Star! (Primo, JQ, Nimari, Davison). It’s starting to feel like Kentucky/Duke/UNC around here!!
Does this mean Rojas is gone?

Ok, guys. Since we may not be done (Gurley), who is going to start?
Posted on 4/8/21 at 2:26 pm to Chadaristic
Really starting to seem like we are getting Gurley too.

"I don't even care"
Fun problem. Nice to be on this side of things.

If we get Gurley I'm just going to throw my hands up in the air and say who fricking knows.
Even without Gurley it's not easy.
I'll guess:
JD
Shack
Ellis
Gary
Tchikou/Wilson/Bediako (What a copout
I have literally no clue what our 4/5 rotation is. I just know we were a lot better team with Gary on the court towards the end of the year (and all the advanced stats corroborate the eye test).
The only reason I don't have Quinerly starting is he was comfortable off the bench, and we are STACKED on the perimeter.
If we get Gurley I think he starts as one of the bigs. I just don't know who the other one will be.
