Is it just me or do those two lineups look very unbalanced?

White/Red:

Sears/Walk-on?
Welch?/Burnett
Griffen/Miles
Miller/Gurley
Bediako/Clowney

He most definitely needs to add weight but to answer your question...yes he does have a shot and I could see him eventually becoming a Jordan Bruner type player down the road.

New Jersey Numbers, Measurements for Alabama Basketball's Upcoming Roster (SI)

Here's a look at the new numbers for all seven of the Crimson Tide's offseason additions as well as a few number changes from last year.

Bediako up 10 pounds to 225 is nice

If he could hit 230, maybe 235 though at 7 ft?? That’d be EXTREMELY nice

Flip Bediako and Clowney. Late in the scrimmage, Oats had veterans, including 5th year Welch, playing against younger players. The vets had the veteran walk on Delaney Heard. Miles ran the point for the vets and looked really good. Of course, JQ and Bradley were sitting out with injuries. Sears ran the point for the younger guys and was real good. He can really shoot. Miller is a stud, and Griffin will help. We should be much better defensively with much better size on the perimeter.

That's interesting. We could run a big and versatile lineup if Miles is effective runnung the point. Would love to see him be able to do some of the things that Herb did with creating match-up problems.

I think the biggest question mark with Miles is usually decision making. Having him run the point should also help him practice making better decisions.

Yes. This week was team camp. Friend saw a schedule with Bama running drills at 1:00, so went by Coleman. I guess most of the teams, some parents, and just random drop ins like me were watching. I guess it was intended as instructional for the high school coaches and players. We really do have 12 solid players.

And may still be some, but he looked much better. He was very quick and coordinated with the ball. He did not get dramatic on a make or a miss- except once. At the end when Oats had the team circled for a talk, after Oats spoke, JQ talked to the team, then Burnett, then Miles, so they may be team leaders.
