Looks like they updated the story to say they were bit in 2021. Sucks either way.

Agreed. Even without seeing the schedule, 18-13 and 7th in the SEC wouldn’t feel very good for what I’m thinking going into the season.

I think we re a top 4 sec team ... 16th or 17th in country in alot of way too early rankings. This bunch is being underrated , if we improve defensively we ll be similar to 20-21

If we’re worse next season than we were last season some alarm bells will start going off. I just don't see how it's possible though. It'd take a perfect storm of injuries, freshmen being busts, our two transfers being out of their depth in the SEC, and returning players not developing like we'd hoped. But this is Alabama basketball. Pain and disappointment are what we do.

22 wins headed into the SECT is the floor of my expectations. I don't know if that is fair or not, but that's where i'm at right now.

We have a more talented roster than last year, but the top players are young, and there are so many new that they have to learn to play together. But, the summer tour practice and games will help, and we should be better as the season moves along. I hope better than 18/13 and 7th.

Just think 20-12 until the season starts. It's better for your blood pressure.

Then it's 30-0.

I can't wait. I love it.

Only Miller is young. JQ, Welch, and Sears are seniors. Burnett is a junior. Bediako is a sophomore.

You must not be familiar with Jaden Bradley?

Almost stroked out when I saw a light skinned number 1 at the free throw line with the ball. Then I remembered Holt transferred.

Joka I know you’ve been high on Clowney. I’ve admittedly only done highlight watching on him, does he have a shot or one developing that you know of? He looks really small next to Bediako(if that’s even him lol) so I’m wondering if he’s a stretch, or just the rim runner/PnR slasher?

I think he can shoot it a little. I remember reading an article about him where his high school coach said that recruiting really took off for him after he developed more of a face up game and outside shot.

That was my point. Bradley and Miller are the highest rated recruits on our team. Burnett was rated high too, but has only played about 10 games. Griffin is top 50 and clowney close to that. Those are not bench warmers - though Bradley is still recovering from an injury. Bradley and Miller, and likely Griffin too, will be key to our success. Burnett and Miller are currently listed as top 20 1st round picks in the 2023 NBA draft. Anyway, as the transfer stats listed earlier suggest, more high NBA picks came to college as top 30 or so high school players, and only the high major to high major transfers improved their points and playing time. Our two mid-major transfers look great, but I would not bet right off that they are set ahead of Bradley, Burnett, and Miller in the rotation. 5 stars are usually good really good.

JQ wearing #5 this season.

I think we should retire that number to honor the greatest player to ever wear #5 in crimson…..Avery Jr.
