Defense and size would be a question

I'd be personally intrigued with a Sears-Davis backcourt. While the warning signs are flashing of what playing 2 undersized guys (JQ and Shack) gets you on defense from this year, I do think one of the reasons it didn't work last year was the fact that JQ and Shack are both not good on-ball defenders AND provide no benefit in the steals category. Both Davis and Sears have good steals numbers while JQ and Shack had to have been one of the worst backcourts in college basketball in that department, especially when you consider the increased amount of defensive possessions that our offensive system calls for. Combined they had less steals per game than either one of these two guys. Maybe a bit of wishful thinking, but I think it could work with how valuable steals can be in this system.

Also having Sears be our off-the-bench JQ type guy while Bradley (who is a lock as a plus defender) starts is also an option. Can't not shoot your shot at a 24 PPG scorer who happens to be a Bama Basketball legacy.

I love Oats and Hodgson and love their ability to recruit but is it kinda cringey to anyone else to be taking pictures with the SEC Championship trophy when it isn’t the most recent one?

So we shouldn't have football recruits take any pictures with our natty trophies? Saban should put away all his rings because they aren't the most recent ones?

Davis has like multiple 12 minute long highlight videos: LINK

I’m not a scout, but I’m pretty convinced that he could score some points for us.

Man im going to have a love hate relationship with Brandon Miller lol. Watching the Jordan Brand game he has the ability. He just seems lackadaisical. Doesnt go get the ball on offense or defense. Just sits on the wing and waits on the ball. They interviewed Bradley Beal and i guess Miller was apart of his AAU team since he was 14 and he said, "Mille needs to be more of a dog". Hope Nate can get him to get fired up because he would be hard to stop.

Miller just stroke one from 3 in this Jordan game. He is nice. I think he can have a Collin like impact as a freshman.

There is no way possible you watched him play that game and came up to that conclusion lol.

So you think Brandon Miller was playing at full speed in this game? Have you watched Brandon Miller prior to these All Star Games? Everybody who has watched him prior to these games knows the guy can take over at anytime.

Bradley Beal was saying he wanted Brandon to be aggressive in the All Star Game like Nick Smith was!

Go do your EYBL research on Brandon Miller because dude is crazy.

It's hard to have a Sexton like impact as a Freshman but with Brandon Miller in Nate Oats offense shoot I like my chances that he'll make an even bigger one.

2021 SEC Champs isn't ages ago bro.

Nate Oats and the coaching staff are showing Jalen Bridges that they came here to compete for conference & national titles. They got a conference one and with the addition of him joining the team maybe they can get both.

I don't know about you but I would like to play for a winner (Nate Oats) who also develops players into draft picks in a player friendly system. That's the dream!

Before watching highlights: interesting stats, clearly can score, but he just doesn’t really make sense for us.

After watching highlights: frick it, bring him in.

Unless JQ comes back, we really would only have Sears and Davis as sub-6’2 guys. Bradley is listed at 6’3 and if you see Burnett in person its clear he’s closer to 6’4 than 6’2.

The baseball team always had it in them and they are just now getting over that hump by learning what it takes to win big games. They still have room to grow but I am happy they are playing at a top level right now but I am still kind a upset because we should of beat Texas earlier in the season.

I wished Connor Prielipp was available this season....just thinking out loud!

I'm sorry guys wrong thread as well!

Burnett is listed at 6'4" on the school website.

He also has vines for arms. Allegedly he has a 6'10" wingspan, which is more important defensively than height anyway.

Bridges meeting with Saban this morning per the twitters

Oats bringing our the big guns. Saban probably thrilled to get to recruit a fellow West Virginian.

Not only a fellow West Virginian. Saban and Bridges are from the same town in West Virginia.
