I actually listed to it live this morning.

We didn't really learn too much that hasn't been posted here haha

-Playing closer to home was a huge factor for him and a bonus that Alabama reached out.

-He should be joining the team in May.

-Part of the reason why he went ahead and committed was that he kinda knew this is where he wanted to be and prayed/talk to family before deciding.

-Mentioned all the schools that reached out, obviously more than what was mentioned by reporters on twitter.

-Ready to come in and make an immediate impact and win. Said he wants to put on a show (or something like that) for when his family comes to his games which is only a couple hours away.

-Pettway was his main recruiter and felt comfort in talking to him again and even knowing some of the players already.

I think that's about it.

In the interview they asked Sears about his improved 3P shooting…

He said he made 15,000 3’s from mid May through mid August last offseason.

If JD stays, he needs to get with Sears on using his body on layups to get a little separation and still be able to control the shot. And also take 15,000 3s in the off season. I think a couple of our guys that were chasing the nba dream did not put in that kind of work last off season.

I wish Jaylen Forbes would get in the portal and come back. I think he would be great for us now

Kenneth Lofton Jr. hit the portal. Posted averages of 16.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 2.8 APG, and 1.2 SPG. Also had an offensive rating of 110.6 and defensive rating of 89.8. Would be an interesting fit here. Bully ball big who is a monster on the glass and has deceivingly quick feet (he's 6'7", 275 lbs). Has a good looking jump shot, but didn't shoot a ton of deep balls.

Averaged 15 PPG but only 27% from 3

I would take him. Looks like he struggled in the non conference but really turned it on in SEC play and was only a freshman so he should improve

Kid is really good. Seems like he will be at a blue blood who runs a slowed down offense.

UGA was a horrid defensive team but Oquendo was their best defender by all the advanced metrics by a pretty decent margin. He's certainly long and athletic enough for that to make sense.

71% FT, 56% from 2 and shot 33% from 3 against 12 Top 50 teams

I'd certainly be intrigued by adding an explosive wing who can defend along with a guy like Bridges who can shoot and is technically sound.

Also interesting on Oquendo

Corner 3s : 13/24 (54%)
Non-Corner 3s : 24/110 (22%)

2PT within 4 ft of rim : 91/123 (74%)
2PT elsewhere : 35/101 (35%)

Give this guy the Darius Miles offensive zones and he may lead the league in eFG%
