Brandon Miller Crystal Ball
Five-star prospect Brandon Miller was set to announce his decision for his basketball career after high school on Monday September 27. That timetable has been put on hold, but here is a look at where his Crystal Ball currently stands.
The 6-8 small forward from Antioch (Tenn.) Cane Ridge High School, which is right outside of Nashville, Tennessee, is down to Alabama, Tennessee State and professional basketball options.
Currently Alabama is considered the favorite according to the Crystal Ball. Alabama has all four of the predictions in Miller's Crystal Ball. Head coach Nate Oats and his staff have made Miller a major recruiting target, and there is a strong connection between Miller and the school. His father Darrell Miller played tight end for the Tide back in his day.
The intel, however, is that an announcement was delayed because heavy thought is being given to the G League route.
Ranked No. 11 in the 247Sports Composite, Brandon Miller has the size and game that brings to mind a smooth wing scorer with a style like a Paul Pierce.

Do not have an in depth feel for Bradley on Arizona v Alabama. I lean Arizona and had to get off a previous pick to North Carolina.
This is a response from Jerry Meyer when someone asked him for some insight on his CB choice for Jaden Bradley.

Yeah I figured it probably wasn’t good news on Miller when he postponed his announcement. Hopefully we can still pull him

I feel like Arizona came out of nowhere in his recruitment.

Alabama basketball is SEC title favorite according to CBS Sports
The SEC has been improving as a basketball conference over the last few years. And CBS Sports writer Matt Norlander wrote that the race for the league’s regular season title has some interesting candidates.
“Down in the SEC you'll have a lot of buzz about the return of Kentucky, a team that I'll remind you went 9-16 last season, one of the worst campaigns (we're talking bottom five) in the 118-year history of the program,” Norlander wrote. “I can't go with UK to win the SEC, but the Cats will easily be a single-digit seed. Instead, give me Alabama. A probable preseason top 10 team that brings back enough while also infusing some tasty talent. Auburn is your dark horse.”
Kentucky certainly went about making sure that the Wildcats changed things up after last year’s shocking season. The Wildcats bring back some key players from last year’s roster, and a now-healthy Keion Brooks could be among the SEC’s better players. And guard TyTy Washington and center Daimion Collins give the Wildcats two more five-star freshmen.
But the biggest reason for optimism comes from a stellar transfer class that could include two possible All-SEC types in former Davidson scorer Kellan Grady and former West Virginia rebounder Oscar Tshiebwe, a proven SEC point guard in Sahvir Wheeler, via Georgia, and another shooter in CJ Fredrick from Iowa.
Will that be enough to keep Alabama from repeating? The Crimson Tide swept last year’s SEC regular season and tournament titles in Nate Oats’ uptempo system. And Alabama should have one of the nation’s best backcourts to propel the Crimson Tide this season. Jahvon Quinerly was terrific down the stretch last year, and he is joined by 247Sports Composite five-star point guard JD Davison, whose blazing speed should fit Oats’ system perfectly. Jaden Shackelford is also back as one of the SEC’s most deadly scorers, while Keon Ellis and Jusaun Holt add depth.
That backcourt did take a blow recently when Texas Tech transfer Nimari Burnett — a former McDonald’s All-American — suffered a season-ending knee injury. Burnett could have upgraded Alabama's scoring on the wing.
Auburn has one of the nation’s most intriguing front courts with two former five-star players. Jabari Smith is the No. 6 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite and the top-ranked recruit to head to the SEC this cycle. Walker Kessler spent the last year putting up strong per-minute stats at North Carolina before transferring to play for the Tigers. It is likely the two play together, giving Auburn two 6-foot-10-plus players who are also comfortable playing away from the basket.

For anyone curious about on3, apparently they don't take kindly to criticism. Though I wasn't in a good mood yesterday, so I might've been a little harsh.

Alabama seeing four-star small forward Kimani Hamilton
Alabama Crimson Tide assistant coach Antoine Pettway is visiting 2022 four-star Clinton (Miss.) forward Kimani Hamilton today, according to On3 Social Media National Recruiting Expert Joe Tipton.
The 6-foot-8 Hamilton recently hosted Creighton and Ole Miss on Sept. 9, and he’s taken visits to Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, with return trips to Tuscaloosa and Oxford scheduled next month.
Hamilton recently narrowed down to a top five from more than a dozen offers: Alabama, Creighton, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Georgetown. Mississippi State is thought to be the leader at this point, but Alabama is making a serious push with the expectation they can get him on campus for an official visit soon.
As a junior last season, he led Clinton to the Mississippi 6A boys basketball championship as he averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks. After missing the 2020 EYBL circuit, he suited up for Team Thad and averaged 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field

We think the announcement postponement and G League resurgence is due to Miller knowing that Smith is headed to Arkansas, right? I mean that makes sense to me. Hopefully the staff can lock him up this weekend.

This makes sense. With it looking like Smith and Bradley are headed elsewhere, it probably gave him and his family some second thoughts. Hopefully we reassure him this weekend
