Pussy is still undefeated. We have a chance.

Did he say that? Tipton seems to think he may go to College. Jake Weingarten said he thinks it's 50/50 on if he goes college or pro.

At this point, everyone is 50/50. It’s awful. Basketball recruiting is the absolute worst

We just need to get some NIL deals in the works that would make it as profitable to attend Alabama while also enjoying the college lifestyle. That would be so sick to get Miller

The No. 19 overall player in the Class of 2022 On3 100, Brandon Miller told On3 he is down to four options.

The 6-foot-8 small forward from Cane Ridge (Tenn.) High School has cut his list down to two colleges: Tennessee State and Alabama and two pro routes: the NBA G-League and the NBL. Miller is no longer considering Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, or Kansas.

Brandon Miller has taken official visits to both Alabama and Tennessee State.

Miller discussed the two schools involved in a previous interview with On3.

Brandon Miller on Alabama
“I love Coach (Nate) Oats,” Brandon Miller said. “He’s a good guy, outside of basketball, too. He also laughs and jokes with his players. The rest of the coaching staff is pretty cool, too. That visit I liked because they have nice facilities. It was just a good visit overall.”

Brandon Miller on Tennessee State
“It would definitely be different than others because it’s an HBCU,” Brandon Miller said. “I know they have a good coaching staff over there because coach Penny (Collins) is one of my cousins. I know a lot of people who came out of TSU – Robert Covington – and you see where he’s at now. That just lets you know anything can be done.”

Tennessee State is the local team for Miller, and it’s only about a 15-minute drive from his home.

It is somewhat shocking to see Miller no longer consider Tennessee, another in-state program pushing hard for the talented forward. Miller planned on being in Knoxville on September 10th for his second official visit to see the Vols. Obviously, something changed between now and then, as Tennessee is no longer in contention.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Brandon Miller does choose the NBL, but college is starting to become the more likely option with NIL.

I like Bama or Tennessee for him.

This was Tipton on August 14th.

I'm happy to legally set up the BamaRant shell company to fund all future NIL deals for basketball prospects.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m worried about this season. I’m scared it will go sideways

The second half of the OOC schedule scares me because I'm not convinced we are ready for a gauntlet like that after one successful season we lost 4 seniors from, but I'm not worried about the overall quality of the team. I do see it being a group that finishes a lot stronger than they start though. It's a group that will play for seeding rather than a bid.

I feel a lot better with the way the schedule sets up than I initially did when we just had the OOC schedule in totality. I'm not sure we could have pieced it together any better if we'd been given carte blanche.

Only 7 B1G teams? Wow. Maybe people are finally starting to figure out how overrated that league is.

Also, I cannot think of a team besides LSU I want to see implode more than Memphis.

It's absolutely possible. However, they really are so talented that an implosion would probably end up being 20-9 or something and a #7 or #8 seed with an ugly first round loss.

If Penny somehow fails to make the tournament with this bunch he should just hand over his resignation.

Yea - Torvik's system really likes the top part of the B1G, but it is not high at all on the bottom half.

- 4 teams in the Top 11 (Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, OSU)
- 3 teams between 12-30 (Maryland, MSU, Indiana)

Everybody else 50 or below and overall records of 16-13 or worse. The 8th team is Northwestern and he doesn't even have them near the bubble (9th team out).

Andy Kennedy's bunch at UAB has a chance to be pretty good this year. They return a lot from a solid team last year and added Buck Johnson's kid who transferred from Auburn, Buffen from Ole Miss and LeBlanc from LSU.

I need to look closer at Illinois, because I was expecting a decent step back from them this year.

Bring back Kofi, added Plummer from Utah who is a solid guard to team up with Frazier who also comes back.

But yea, once Kofi came back I figured they'd be a Top 10/15 team. Didn't expect them to be a Top 5 team, but I don't know a ton about their depth.

Yeah, I guess that's what I mean. I feel like Ayo is a pretty substantial loss, but I really don't know a lot about their roster either.

Wow, I like that Torvik model. I couldn’t be more excited. I mean I’m excited for football too, but I’m already craving some hoops. & some cooler weather.
