Burnett has always been listed at 6'4 and his arms are supposedly super long. I think he fits in fine playing the 3.

You guys think Ellis plays mainly the 3 this year

If so where does Shack play?
Probably the 2 spot, with some ball handling duties mixed in.

I think he definitely can guard 1-3, except for the fastest guards like Kira.

Is anyone considering going to Orlando? I have to plan out a vacation before the end of the year and was thinking a week in Orlando wouldn't be a bad idea. The family never has a big Thanksgiving, my main concern would be having to watch the Iron Bowl at a bar in Florida.
I was raised in Orlando, and still have family and friends there. But Thanksgiving, we get 30-50 people together for 4-6 days. So I'll be drunk in the woods, hoping to get data reception and stream it.

Pretty much. I was thinking about quick PGs like him and Cooper. But it's hard for anyone to stay in front of his like that.
Personally, I'm not opposed to zone defenses against teams with those kind of backcourts. Especially if a big man can step up and take over inside the paint.

Davison
Burnett
Ellis
Gurley
Tchikou
Would be an interesting lineup that would have good size and athleticism.

Yeah i agree. I think this year we will have a little more scoring ability in the paint and wont have to rely on the three as much. If we are able to get up on teams, i think we'd see a lineup like that a lot.
To me the best strategy is going to be to keep a fresh PG in to press the pace and keep the hot shooter in at SG, whether its Shack, JQ, or Burnett.
I also think Miles can be a suitable backup for Keon. He wont bring the same level of defense, but he can score and rebound similar to Keon. I dont believe for a second that Miles will be the odd man out. Too much versatility and talent.

Alabama rising Freshman Alex Tchikou is almost a 100% healthy. Versatile at 6’11 & 235 pounds. Will impact the game in a variety of ways from knocking down 3s, rebounding, rim protection, & being able to guard multiple positions. His best basketball is ahead of him.
Tweet from Tchikou's trainer, also has about 50 second video of Tchikou in practice.

Looks like Tchikou will for sure be ready by game 1 health wise unless he gets reinjured. If he will be suspended for a game or two for playing in that tournament is a different question I guess.

Yeah he looks ready to roll. Biggest question for me is does he start.
Gurley and Tchikou on the court together sounds nice. Both guys can stretch the floor and score from just about anywhere.
Just gotta see what combo Oats likes best.
If we are talking about just strictly pro potential, Tchikou has got to be one of the top two or three guys scouts are looking at on this roster. Agree or disagree?
With all the lineup talk lately, i feel strongly that no matter what combos we go with, it will be hard for teams to double team or play off of any of our guys.

My starting five for the season would be...
JQ
Shack
Keon
Gurley
Tchikou
That's a very talented and somewhat of an experienced lineup as well. I think the next five off the bench could start
JD
Burnett
Holt
DMiles
Baby Draymond
My sleepers on the team are Jusuan Holt & Darius Miles both are extremely skilled and they both can shoot it!
Thank you lord for these problems! I remember the times our roster was in graveyard dead shape smh...LOOK HOW FAR WE'VE COME!

I'd say he's probably #1 in a landslide tbh.

They both can knock down threes and our coach kinda sorta seems to like that. The best shooter on the team is gonna get minutes. Some people say that Holt is already the best shooter.
My sleeper is KAH. I think he can be the 4th big. He's got a little shot making ability and he's got some hops. He should be bigger, stronger, faster this year and nobody is really talking about him.

Davison and Tchikou are probably the best pro prospects on the team. Burnett definitely has first round potential if he can put it all together.
I bet Ellis gets drafted after this year too, I think he is a better pro prospect than Petty.

And in former Bama coach news, Mark Gottfried appears to be done at Cal State Northridge. He’s still officially on administrative leave, but they just hired Trent Johnson as interim coach for 2021-22 season.

I think it's pretty close between him and Davison. Rare to have that kind of athleticism, playmaking and finishing ability. If he can shoot a respectable percentage from deep, he's a damn near perfect PG pro prospect.

JD and Tchikou are definitely 1&2.
I think JQ has a good shot at the NBA if he improves on his play from last year. He's definitely got a future playing ball somewhere.
