Concerned we won’t add anybody.

I would be shocked if we had an open scholarship when the season rolls around.

I'm not saying that it ended up as a CB for us, but that we had one (I actually think it was a few) at one time.

If he had one for us it would've been listed on 247 I think. I think you are remembering him getting one from Rivals for us when he was in the portal.

I don't blame you there, predicting the future is far from an exact science.

What if we got Jaden Bradley or Jarace Walker to reclass out of nowhere?

I really like the reclass option and we've had tremendous success with it. We show a kid he could be our next Kira or Primo and that's gotta be intriguing.

We need them more for next years class since we are losing a lot after this year imo. No doubt Jarace Walker is gonna be a one and done. Just give me Shack back then call it a day.

Per 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions, the early favorite to land Burnett is Alabama.

Nimari was CB'd to Alabama as a recruit.

I'd think so too if we didn't already have Gurley, they are really similar, both 6'8 and have had seasons where they shot over 40% from three. Gurley is the better defender. Obanor does a few things better than Gurley too, but they are similar players.

Obanor is basically a better version of Gurley though. Obanor is better in just about every facet outside of defense and I don't think it's a huge edge there.

Only reasons I can think of that we're not recruiting him are...

A. Shack is coming back
B. Oats wants a guard out of the transfer portal
C. Reclassify Candidate

Nope it was 247. Experts change their CBs all of the time.

Gurley is far more athletic and a much better finisher.

trust Oats to develop Miles or Holt to pick up Primos slack

I liked Primo as a player but i think his best ability for us was hitting open threes. He was also a threat to drive and finish at the rim. But he wasn't out there doing superhuman stuff or controlling the ball a lot.

Miles does those things pretty well already and Holt by all reports can hit open threes.

I think Gurley fits us better, he is more athletic and we like to play fast, he is the same size as Herb, good on defense, and can shoot the three. I wouldnt have been mad if we got Obanor (would;ve been very happy) but I struggled to see whaere he would fit in from the start unless maybe Tchikou wasnt gonna be healthy.

Are we even gonna fill the spot? I can’t imagine Oats scheduling this tough without having a full roster. Especially after what we went through 2 years ago.

Maybe Oats wants to hold a spot open in case he can talk a kid into reclassifying

I mean if the staff found out in the last 7 or 8 hours that Shack was coming back I'm not sure that Jordan Harper would know about it, he thought Shack was staying the day he entered the portal and is one of the main reasons I thought he was staying. He is good at his job but if it's something that developed recently with Shack he may not know.

I'll give you the much better athlete, but he also gives up some size to Obanor. I'll also give you that he's a better finisher than Obanor, but it isn't by much. People think that since Obanor was shooting the lights out from three in the NCAAT that it is his only offensive skill. He actually took a higher percentage of his shots inside the arc than Gurley did.

I don't say this as a slight to Gurley, but more of a praise of Obanor. The fact that the dude is a stretch 4/5 that is also a monster rebounder would have made him a perfect fit here.

He would be a great fit but it's hard to see him, Tchikou, and Gurley being on the floor at the same time as fast as we like to play, and I don't think Gurley or Obanor want to play the 5, they both played the 4 at their previous schools.

Yeah if Tchikou is ready to roll, we dont need Obanor.

But we would still need another guard. Surely there is a plan in place. No need to worry.

I love Tchikou's potential, but I wouldn't put all my chips in that basket with his health concerns. I would operate under the assumption that he isn't playing.

I’m worrying until I know the plan. Lol
