He did sit on the bench with Oats for quite some time

Anytime I see Wade Taylor on a first team list, I know that the service or writer doesn't really watch much sec basketball. To have Wade Taylor over Tre Johnson is laughable.
Tre Johnson went 0-14 in his last game, and still has a shooting percentage 8% better than Wade on the year. Wade had exactly 1 game he shot better than 50%. He's a good player, but he has horrendous efficiency.

I hope not. That kid is so overrated.

What!? He averaged 40 points per game against the SEC this year!

I'd absolutely take him. Didn't realize he was 6'6. Have him come in as a 15-minute per game shooting guard. Run starter, run killer....etc.
We knew he was the only guy we needed to guard, and we still couldn't stop him. Perfect for the offense. 51 points against any D1 team is crazy work.

sign him up.
Do we benefit from the Juco rule now at all, meaning is there anyone on the roster that was counting a juco year that does not have to now?

Dude plays Zero defense.
And in conference play he shot 33% from 3 and 39% FROM 2. Yeah he had a 40pt game against us and a 51pt game but he was inefficient in pretty much every other game

Inconsistent maybe, but you don't drop 51 and 40 in a single season and suck.
I wouldn't mind adding both him and Adrian Wooley. 2 guys who could blossom in this offense.

a) he fired off 234 of them sucker's. Dude had crazy volume, and shot 36% for the season, thats just fine on that kind of volume.
b) I said bring him in for 15 minutes a game. He is perfect for that. Come in, throw flames for a few minutes, bench. You can coach around his defense, just like we do with Holloway.
The high volume chucker I want is Hubbard though. He is the guy who would get the most benefit from our system. He'd be tremendous next to Naas at SG.

We're going to need a big guy or two a lot more than we'll need another guard (unless it's a point guard... we could use at least one of those with Sears gone and Philon iffy). We have Hannah and Allen coming in for the perimeter, and Jemison can play inside or on the perimeter. We're losing a lot inside.

That’s why we have to pay Sherrill whatever it takes for him to stay.

When you're a shooter and the only threat on your team, defenses can pretty easily gameplan to stop you (unless you're on an absolute heater). I won't argue the defense, but having someone fill that Walters role of just being a knockdown shooter off the bench is extremely helpful during shooting droughts and we're losing two of our better shooters. I will also say that Nate has had a propensity of at least reaching out to guys that have gone off on his team.

No disrespect to Hannah and Allen, but to expect them to replace 3 of our 4 best offensive weapons isn't fair. We absolutely have to hit the market for guards, shooters, and bigs. That's not even a question.
We're for sure losing Sears, Philon, Youngblood, Nelson, and Cliff.
For the guards, we get Wrightsell and Mallette back which will help, but I don't think we can really rely on the two freshmen guards/wings to play significant minutes. Naas I'm assuming will transfer as most red-shirted freshmen do.
For the bigs, I actually think we're better suited to absorb the losses of Nelson and Cliff as things currently stand. Mo needs a bigger role anyways and Sherrell could end up being one of the best bigs we've ever had before he's done. Stevenson can also go back to playing the 4 spot full time which should help him. Reid, if he comes back, is a plug and play guy who can play anywhere 2-4 if needed, but I think he fits best as a 4. Jemison is probably our safest bet for quality minutes among the freshmen. We probably need another back up 5, but that's really it in terms of the rotation.

Alabama is probably going to be a solid team if they have an answer at point guard. I’m not sure Holloway is that guy. He seems like a better shooter version of Quinerly. Instant offense guard not a guy to run an offense for most of the game.

I have no inside knowledge, but for some reason I feel like he plays for Bama next year. With what we're losing, he has a chance for good minutes. And our system is built for him.

I just watched his highlights against us and When he dropped 51. And while I definitely didn't want to get into a bidding war against a desperate blue blood, the dude would be perfect for our offense. 6'6" 3 shooter who likes to drive to the rim? Put some actual talent around him and he's excel in our system. He's also another ball handler that can initiate offense. And we're about to lost multiple ball handlers this off-season. We just need to clean up his mid range shite, and he could greatly improve his efficiency.

No inside, but I think Naas is capable of being really good. Needs to stay 2 more years at least.

11 SEC games yet to be played before we play.
