In terms of who they are as people absolutely. I never said anything about coaching. They're both the kind of guys whose worst behavior is probably the occasional speeding ticket, so Bennett suddenly retiring due to any kind of scandal isn't very realistic. He's tapping out because of the changes in the landscape of college sports, as are a lot of other old school coaches.

Unless Reid is a better shooter than I think he will be and Mo has found any kind of outside shot at all there's probably not enough spacing there to make this a viable lineup. But an exhibition game is the place to find out I guess.

Warm up 3s are different than game 3s, but I was shocked at both Reid and Cliff draining 3s in warmups last Friday night.
Both were in the 40-50% realm (which probably means 20-30% in actual games).

If it's closer to 30 than 20 that's at least good enough to make defenses account for it, so if they can both drag defenders out it could work. Assuming Holloway is legit. If Cliff can knock down a few we're going to be a fricking nightmare to defend.

This might be too early to diagnose, but Reid might be a chucker. He took several ill advised shots last Friday and didn’t shoot well because of it. He just did it again in this one.
I hope he just needs to learn that he’s not the only talented player on the floor now (he’s not even the best player on the floor anymore), but he’s shown some pretty selfish basketball early on.
Edit: literally just got a charge called against him as I was hitting submit. Reid doesn’t seem to prefer passing over scoring himself
