ESPN is fricking cruel. I’m so excited for some College Basketball, nice matchup between UNC/Memphis. I put the TV on and Beth Mowins…I’ve decided to watch the MLB Playoffs instead

Born in one and lived in the other. I’ve been called all the things you mentioned in your post, including very friendly. But people who like southern social graces usually find me too blunt (including my wife many times).

I’ve tried to be more southernly polite, but it’s just not in me. A spade is a spade, and I’m going to call it a spade even if no one likes it.

Think we need him to hit a game winning three at the buzzer in Auburn just to be sure.

Personally I'd love to go ahead and sweep them in the regular season, win the conference, get back to the Final Four after they are knocked out in the first round again, and start printing some Gumpy as hell t-shirts with "Auburn Basketball: 2019-2025" on a tombstone. That would be my ideal season.

I think it’s between us and BYU, I don’t buy Kansas State being in 2nd. If it’s just about money it’ll be BYU. If it’s about making some money and playing in a top system, it’ll be Alabama. KSU doesn’t offer the most money and they don’t offer the style Oats runs.

1. 2021 / LSU / SEC Championship
2. 2023 / Houston / I went to this game. Insane atmosphere.
3. 2024 / UNC / S16
4. 2023 / Auburn / 17pt Comeback to clinch SEC.
5. 2021 / LSU / Petty 8/10 from 3

ETA: Honorable Mention

2020 / LSU / Herb Jones one-handed free throws
2021 / Kentucky / 20 pt win in Rupp
2022 / Gonzaga / Win against #1 in Seattle
2024 / 100 point games. Even though defense wasn't there, it's fun watching them score like an NBA team.
2019 / Norfolk St / A necessary evil that led to us to our savior

Just now putting this together but Kneeland Hibbett on the football team comes from the Hibbett Sports family. Not sure if that was common knowledge, I feel like I should have realized that sooner

I know some of the family from Keaton Anderson (a walk on LB/S who really only made an impact playing time wise on ST), whose family owns TNT fireworks. Hibbett sports was another family business. I love seeing this. Older generations big Tennessee donors, Keaton's dad played oline there. Nice to see the younger generation blazing own trail. Should be a fun weekend for the Anderson and Hibbett households

Edit: Kneeland Neyland. Kinda a Knox Kiffen name

I was skeptical but he was our 2nd or 3rd best player at the scrimmage
