Today is the 63rd birthday for one of the greatest under-the-radar players in @AlabamaMBB history, Eddie Phillips, despite scoring 1,937 career points for the Crimson Tide.
Born Sept. 29, 1961, in Birmingham, Phillips played from 1979-1982 under both C.M. Newton and Wimp Sanderson. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 15.9 points and 9.9 rebounds.
In his senior season, Phillips made the memorable putback in the final seconds of the 1982 SEC Tournament Championship Game that gave Alabama a stunning 48-46 victory over Kentucky in Rupp Arena.
The New Jersey Nets selected Phillips 21st overall in the first round of the 1982 NBA Draft.

Alabama's Chris Youngblood (ankle) will return at some point in December, per Nate Oats.
Transfer from South Florida who was the Co-AAC Player of the Year last season.
Oats on Youngblood: "He's almost certainly not going to play in November, but he'll be back in December."

Nate Oats also tells me that he thinks that Jarin Stevenson will make the biggest jump among Alabama's returning players.
Had 19 in the Elite Eight against Clemson.

Colleges Hoops Today podcast
Alabama’s Nate Oats is preparing tirelessly to lead the Crimson Tide back to the Final Four. Is this the most anticipated season in Alabama history? What’s it going to take to get back there for the second time in program history and win a few more games? How has he had so much early success? Discussing the makeup of his current roster. Why he feels they have a good mix of players. Who steps up out of the returners? And which newcomer is poised to contribute early? Just how many players will make the rotation? Why does he like to challenge his teams in non-conference scheduling? And why rim protection and a return to consistent defense can be key for the Crimson Tide to make a deep run. Plus, the Cooper Flagg hype is for real.

Mac said in the discord he thinks our chances with AJ are very low because BYU is offering $6M!!!.
I would say there may be only 1 or 2 teams in America who have $6M spent on their whole team much less 1 player

they went as good as could possibly go .. going to visit both soon. neither of them r locks or anything. If AJ doesn’t just make an NIL decision we will prob get him. I think chances better with BB RIGHT now.

Towards the end of the season he was in fire and making a huge jumper from that would be epic

Was there a reason given for the cancellation? Like he's rescheduling or he's just not interested in visiting anymore?
