A&M quietly 3-0. Doesn’t really feel like they are a threat but for now they are the only ones keeping pace with Bama and UT.

Dykes lives in Fayetteville(shocking I know) so they made the call to him and he filled in.

During the 3 point barrage, I could just feel the pain in his voice.

Missouri is a weird team. High ceiling low floor. Let’s win these next 4 and start 8-0 in the SEC

LSU
@Vandy
@Missouri
Mississippi State

Board was pretty fun to read tonight! Everything from good takes (poster called “depth” prior to halftime and Oats gave the depth shout out in postgame) to border line sky is falling melts.

I’ll say this, this team is incredibly special. Lots of teams have talent, but it’s pretty rare to have very coachable young talent that is hungry and focused. Add in some good veteran presence, really good team chemistry, and you get a once in a decade type team (or for our history, possibly a once in a multi decade period…hoping Oats is able to shorten that time between special teams and so far so good)!! We need to enjoy this run, this doesn’t happen every year, 3 years, or even 5 years. Just look at some of the Blue Bloods who have talent but they don’t seem to gel or play for each other. See you boys Saturday in Ttown!

Whose minutes does Burnett take when he comes back?

Probably Griffen and Welch. Maybe less Gurley more small ball with Miller at the 4.

I doubt it. It’s the same growing pains Burnett will go through when he’s able to return.

Burnett can play lockdown defense regardless, he will help us. His injury isn't a leg injury thankfully.

ETA: No Welch isnt close to 100%. He was just cleared to go live in practice a couple of weeks ago.

It’s his non shooting wrist. It will have zero effects on him. I would have him practicing with the team just playing defense

I'm still amazed at how good Mark Sears has been. We all wanted him & knew he could play, but damn I didn't think he'd be THIS good. I had tempered my expectations from all the previous small-school & juco transfers that we've brought in and them be so underwhelming (Michael Kessens, Ricky Tarrent, James Rojas, and so on). But he's been everything as advertised and then some. I thought he might struggle with the jump in the competition level in the SEC, but it's been the opposite. Having more talent around him has elevated his abilities from when he was at Ohio. He's damn near, if not already, a first team All-SEC caliber guard. Just an absolute grand slam of a transfer addition.

I just noticed Arky;s Jalen Graham's stats!
Played 19 minutes: 18 points 5 Rbs 8-10 Fgs 0-1 Fts 1A 1To.

Who is this guy and why did he not play more?

I have a feeling Oats is gonna get whatever he wants by the way. Bama fans havent been this excited for basketball in 20 years.

Make him the highest paid coach in the SEC. And PUT A DAMN SHOVEL IN THE GROUND.

We got a chance to be something special if we go all in and now is the time to go all in

He needs to get to the Final Four or/and win the National Championship; he can then dictate his terms.

No. With what Oats has accomplished so far we need to lock him up and build a new arena. Or we can watch him win at Texas, Kentucky, or some other school.

Jeff Boals did a good job developing him.

If Oats loses his mind and leave us, Pat Kelsey at Charleston is an up and comer. He's on my list with Darian Devries.

Not playing in a game for nearly 2 months is going to have a big effect. It would be extremely surprising to me if he was immediately back to being a high level 2 way guy for us before mid February.
