anyone have 13-2 after the first 15? feels pretty good. While the rebounding may not have been top notch Sat, the DEFENSE was excellent, fighting over screens, helping out but not leaving your man, guards helping out down low. A+.

tide favored Tues night?

If we would zone we would run Arkansas out of the gym Tuesday because they can’t shoot.
Strongly disagree. Would allow Walsh to facilitate out of the high post, generate easy looks, and eliminate our advantage defending down low. Applying pressure and beating them straight up is our best bet on the road in a hostile environment.

Was hoping for 12-3 or 11-4 with our schedule.

I also did not anticipate Miller being a legitimate NPOTY candidate, Clowney looking like a one and done, and Sears seamlessly transitioning from mid-major to P-6 competition though.

I don't think anybody predicted that. He's been incredible. I think he was POTY for South Carolina coming out of HS but he wasn't a really big time recruit. Not sure what happened there. He's gotta be one of the top 20 freshmen in CBB this year.

Noah Clowney didn't play in any big AAU gatherings if I'm not mistaken that's the reason he was ranked so low.

Auburn did it last night a lot and Arkansas couldn’t shoot their way out of it.

It’s all irrelevant because Oats doesn’t like to run zone so we ain’t gonna do it. And he is a lot smarter about basketball than I am

Hopefully we will be ready on Wednesday too.

Just kidding but had to look back at the schedule to confirm. Wednesday at 6:00. RTR.

When we opened the game at Missouri last year in zone, that was the worst display of defense I’d ever seen.

We can't have a letdown following the big WIN over Kentucky. It's all about CONSISTENCY now.

Alabama has an opportunity to WIN over more FANS so we can't pull a Gonzaga or UConn game out versus Arkansas.

I think Coach Oats will practice a zone defense in prep just to be on the safe side of things. I don't think we use it but Gonzaga would of struggled vs a zone defense so I think Coach Oats knows that and he'll have a zone base defense in his back pocket just in case.

Just my opinion!!

I say Arkansas -1. They are gonna project us being about 2 or 3 points better than them at a neutral court

To be fair, pretty much everything about last year's team on defense was a disaster.

With our length a zone could be pretty difficult to crack, but we don't practice it enough to be good at it.
