Mack and Payne have burned that program down in unbelievably short order. It's not as if they are losing a bunch of close games either and are a potentially OK team that just needs to learn how to win. They lost 3 straight to mid-majors by 1 point but have been run off the court by the 5 P-6 opponents they have played since.

Louisville is #361. Wow.
How the mighty have fallen...
After the '19 season, they really weren't the same. If that was Chris Mack's doing is another question. Even if it's a "rebuild" year, this is horrible basketball being played, no excuses, AT ALL.
Those Louisville scandals were free entertainment though, you can't lie

#8 Alabama's game Saturday against #1 Houston will be the first time the Crimson Tide has played an AP top-10 opponent since November 14, 2002, when the third-ranked Oklahoma Sooners faced Mark Gottfried's eighth-ranked team in New York City. Bama won 68-62

To be clear, it's the first game that Alabama has played against a top-10 team while also being ranked as a top 10 team since 2002.

Even more staggering: this is the first time Alabama has played a game against the #1 AP Poll team while being ranked in the top 10 since March 18, 1976, when #6 Alabama took on #1 Indiana in the NCAA Tournament in Baton Rouge, LA. (Indiana went undefeated and won the title)

Noah Clowney Named SEC Freshman of the Week
Clowney notches his first SEC weekly honor
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Following the Crimson Tide's victory over South Dakota State last week, Alabama freshman Noah Clowney was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The 6-10 freshman from Roebuck, S.C. scored a career-best 22 points against South Dakota State to go along with a career-high four assists in Alabama's win over the Jackrabbits. It was Clowney's best performance on offense this season, draining a season-high five three-pointers and scoring his first 20-point game of the season. This is the second SEC Freshman of the Week honor for Alabama this season, as Brandon Miller earned the honor on Nov. 21, becoming the first SEC school this season to have multiple winners of the award.

Unfortunately I think he’s Primo part two. Scouts will drool over him, he’ll be a 1st round lock by the end of the cycle.

Especially if he can start hitting threes with consistency

Gonzaga struggling again. We are better team than them and I will be disappointed if we don’t beat them in Bham

Has anyone watched Houston? How do we match up with them?

I think we have a shot.
Houston is pretty inconsistant tbh, they barely squeaked out wins against Oregon (who isn't quite the team they used to be, they lost to UC Irvine)/Kent State and then they put up 100 against Norfolk State. The two toughest games on their schedule is #3 Virginia and us.

On offense. Defensively they are a monster. If we catch them on a night where they are struggling to make shots we will have a chance. When their offense is bad it's really bad, but when it's good they're a runaway train. Kinda like us a couple of years ago. If they're hitting shots you're going to get run out of the gym.
