With Stevenson, I was expecting a stretch 4/5 that could protect the rim, but he can also create his own shot, create for others, take a rebound coast to coast and dunk on you, etc. He has some serious wow moments.
Maybe this was all expected, and I just haven’t followed recruiting closely enough lately.
There is a reason why Stevenson received Five-stars before reclassification.
He can do a lot on offense and is also an underrated defender.
All he needs is experience and time in college basketball.

Indiana State and South Alabama are respectable “buy” games. Both were top 135 according to Kenpom

Indiana State is a good team.
South Alabama is gonna be outside the top 200 by New Year's. That's a bad team (who also lost to an NAIA school already).

Yep. I think thats why he was still in the game so late. Let him really get the feel for this level og ball.
Some "experts" say he is the most talented guy on the roster in terms of NBA potential. Lets just make sure we dont pull a Gerald Wallace.

Latrell Wrightsell is going to be a big time pick up.
We still got guys making the wrong reads passing the ball because we had guys open on kick outs for days.

Stevenson, Walters, Dioubate, Parker and Cosby(technically) was low key a great haul. All top 100 type players and talented. Stevenson was a 5 star caliber guy. Walters close to top 50. Btw we haven’t even seen Parker play yet.
It might not be Kentucky blue chips across the board but sizing all these players up getting off the bus you’d never know the difference in ranking imo.
Then you add the transfers with our returning guys. Nelson and Estrada gives you veteran star power. Wrightsell an athletic guard with a nice shot. Wague another rim protector with good upside.
Returning players in Sears, Griffen and Pringle gives you leadership and continuity. All great players in their own right.
I just can’t get over how good a job Oats did building this roster.

We were worried there for a minute. But Nate Oats is the fricking man with the fricking plan.

In 1 game we jumped from #235 to #133 in defense.
#1 in offense….by a WIDE margin

Pressing when we're up 50 feels a LITTLE dickish.
Why are yall pressing?

Oats has had the team full court pressing the entire game every game this year. Never has before at Bama. I think it is because we have been struggling on defense, so he is just making the players do that all game. We were much better defensively tonight. Also played everybody (except Kris Parker who will redshirt) as he has in every game.
