It is and sounds crazy.

Eric Williams scored 38 points and Marvin Bateman added 37 to lead host Greenville to a record-shattering 200-146 victory over Fontbonne on Saturday. The Panthers scored 97 points in the first half and 103 in the second, and were 33 of 91 on 3-point tries.

I get to watch the grennel(spelling) offense next week from a d3 team. The system intrigues me.
Shoot 3s all game long, press the whole game. Sub 5 in at once. Go 15 deep.
They also sell out completely to get offensive rebounds even if it means there's no one back to defend if they don't get it. And once you break the press they do not attempt to recover and defend. They let you take an uncontested layup so they get the ball back to take another 3. The whole thing is based on the proposition that turnovers + 3s > uncontested 2s.
It's like something Oats would have come up with if he accidentally ate a ton of mushrooms.

Hey Coach quotes from UARoundBallGuy
"It's not going to be easy. Even when they weren't good, we never had an easy W there. We've had some blowouts here but we've always had tight games at their place. We're going to have to bring our best basketball and better defense than we had vs LSU."
- Oats on UGA, Hey Coach
"They're significantly better. They've done a good job turning the roster over. They've changed their style to be more like us - faster, more open, more 5-out. Combination of better players & system change makes them a tough cover & they play hard."
- Nate Oats on UGA, Hey Coach
Oats on the starting 5 vs LSU:
"Not our best defensive lineup, but hasn't been bad. We can score for sure. Not a ton of possessions w/ that lineup, in the 70's, but we're scoring around 1.34 PPP. Had a lead after the 1st 4 mins vs LSU. That wasn't the case for many games prior."
Jarin Stevenson on coming to Alabama:
"Watching last year, Brandon Miller, Noah Clowney. The type of offense they run - fast, nonstop. I like that type of basketball. I like things they run, different defensive sets. I loved watching them play. That really brought me here."

Jarin could be in for a massive year next year if he sticks around
His play is only getting better right now

when you currently only have a losing streak to one team in the conference, life is good:
SCar 9 in a row (35-16, 28-15 since they joined the SEC)
OM 6 in a row (124-58)
MSU 5 in a row (134-77)
Miz 4 in a row (15-7)
Ark 3 in a row (32-36, 29-29 since they joined the SEC)
Fla 3 in a row (78-70)
Aub 3 in a row (100-67)
LSU 3 in a row (116-75)
Van 2 in a row (76-68)
Ken 1 in a row (40-113, 4-6 in the last 10)
UGa 1 in a row (99-53)
Aggie 1 in a row (12-11, 6-8 since they joined the SEC)
Tenn lost 2 (81-72)

Assuming he keeps developing and getting more comfortable I don't see why he'd leave. I guess you never know though. That's college sports these days. His play the last couple of weeks has definitely been trending the right direction. He looks more like a talented freshman than a high school kid who is out of place on the court.

He had every opportunity to go to UNC and get the NIL bag. If he’s happy with his development so far, I think he’ll stay

So what’s the latest on Musselman?

Mark Sears not selected as a finalist for the Bob Cousy or Jerry West award lists. Absolute bullshite

I did find the Wrightsell thread I referenced a little ways back on the recruiting board. Glad the guy that supposedly knew his game was very wrong

Musselman is one of the 3 favorites for the Louisville job according to Trilly. It’s Musselman, Beard, and Jerome Tang.
I bet the Arkansas boosters arent too happy with him after them having probably the biggest payroll in cbb and him going 10 and 10 with it.
Arkansas having a player quit midseason and another one sitting out pretending to be injured probably isnt helping. Musselman has lost control of that team.

Just realized a freshman on the UA team this year went to HS last year where my daughter is a freshman this year. He reclassified or he would have been a senior this year. Jarin Stevenson

Oats not being on their short list is relieving. Not sure he'd leave to go clean up what cannot even adequately be described as a dumpster fire though.
If Beard is receptive to them they'd be nuts not to hire him though. He's easily the best coach of those 3 even though he's also the biggest piece of shite.
