Gutsy win. Hated the officiating in the 2nd half as one end was not being officiated like the other.
Love the turnaround we've had on defense in conference play. Nelson HAS to be more aggressive and confident on the offensive side of the ball, but defensively he's been a revelation. Mo has been excellent in his minutes. Wrightsell was such an excellent addition. Way better than expected. Sears is a closer. Fun to see his transition from support to star this year. Completely different vibe for him from a mentality standpoint this year.

Grant Nelson earned that NIL check this week. Played amazing defense.

Latrell Wrightsell, Rylan Griffen, and Mark Sears was straight up cold blooded tonight.

Big Win.
This is my personal opinion, but I think Stevenson should be given a little more time. It had a positive effect today when he was on the floor in the second half.

Defense up to 57 in KP.
It’s wild the cushion Houston has as #1. They could lose the next 5 games and not drop.

I didnt t mind the shot with how wide open he was. He’s shooting 28% from three its not like its Bediako launching one up. Looked like it was gonna go in.
Was better than the possession before it where Sears got the shot clock violation.
We won thats what matters. Great team win, a lot of guys played well.

Mizzou up next then a big one at Tennessee…after that a monster matchup vs Auburn.
That’s going to be a huge game.

I disagree here. He was being targeted on defense, and playing the most physical team in the SEC is not the time for him to get a lot of minutes. Mo was a much better option today, and, going forward, I'd say he's the better option in most situations if he keeps playing like he has these last 2 games.

That play Sears got the shot clock violation Wrightsell was WIDE open at the 3 point line. Sears is our best player and I love that he is aggressive and not scared of the moment but I think Wrightsell would've nailed that one if Sears had passed it.

Sears is a frickin' dog. It's been awesome to see the strides he's taken. Quinerly leaving might've been a been a good thing, just since it passed the torch and forced Sears to be the team's leader.
Mo is playing some pretty damn decent minutes. A few freshman moments. But I'm seeing him make plays instead of nervously forcing a bad shot in every touch. Nice to see him growing. He already plays very good D.

Pretty sure its already sold out. I think I saw today that our home game vs Miss State has already sold out.

I love seeing him looking confident handling the ball. He's driving better, which is giving him better looks, and keeping defenders on their heels.

You have to give him some minutes, just for development purposes. Once the game slows down for him, he's gonna be fun to watch and hell for opponents. But he's just looking his age.

I do not agree. I don't know how focused you were on watching the second half. He wasn't a problem on defense in the second half. He only played 3 minutes but was +4. (REB 1, PF 1)
And Dioubate played 3 minutes and scored -2. (AST 1 , PF 2)

By the time Wrightsell got open, I don't think there would have been time to get it off. With that and the fact we only needed a 2 to put the game out of reach, I think he made the right decision. Don't like us waiting that late to get something going though. Should have initiated a play with at least 10 seconds to go.

He is a force out there. He is a good rebounder on both sides. He has a little bit of Ron Artest to his game.

I don’t remember what poster it was (not a fan of Bama) that shite all over Wrightsell on the recruiting board when we landed him but he’s been big for us in a lot of games and I only see his minutes continuing to increase because he’s wired to score and it makes our offense have even better spacing.

People complain about his offense some but its not like Herb was very good on offense as a freshman. You need some guys on the team with that toughness and physicality regardless of if they he scores a lot of not. He can guard multiple positions too which is huge.

One thing important to remember on that stuff is we’re all typing posts instead of doing this as high paying job. The Oats staff might know what they’re getting from their signees better than us.
