3 starters scored less than 10 combined. Great team D. 15 TO's is way too much.
Thank goodness for our two guards scoring tonight

Jalen Brunson would be the hope, but Brunson is a legitimate 6’2" (at least by basketball standards) and led his team to a NCAAT title, and he still went in the 2nd round because of his age and lack of size/athleticism. Sears will 100% measure shorter than 6-foot and is a similar athlete to Brunson.
For sub 6-foot guards to get looks as a draft prospect, the general rule is that you have to be lightning quick and be an excellent setup man. The only example I can think of off the top of my head that wasn’t is Carsen Edwards. And he had to post over 24 PPG to get that 2nd round flyer. Barring him averaging 25 a night the rest of the season, Sears will likely still be here next year.

He ended up being a bad pick too, he was playing in Turkey like 3 years later. He’s playing in Germany now.

TAMU is only behind two at Auburn. Auburns D is legit but when their offense is bad its really bad.

This Auburn/TAMU game is a good one.

Whoa. Nate Oats on the 2x technical, said South Carolina was talking a big game: "They said the SEC wasn't ready for them. We'll see if the SEC is ready for them. This SEC team was ready for them."

He just needs to embrace the role player life the way Walters has. It's all you can expect of most freshmen and I wish more of them understood it. Way too many of them come in trying to play hero ball.
Yep. A lot of them have never been on a team where they weren't the best player.

Watch this one - Coach speaks, Nick wins the Hard Hat and immediately gives it to Dioubate

I had forgotten MoDi was injured during the summer. So he's had even less practice, which definitely showed in the early games. But I honestly expect most ranked around 100 to need a year to adjust before meaningful contributions. But when you're trying to plug holes, you have to experiment. Tonight it seemed like the game slowed down for him.

That’s why I love Nate. He says what he wants.
OT a bit but it frustrates me watching other games and hearing commentators talk about SEC contenders and they never bring up Bama.
2 SEC titles and 2 SEC tourney wins in the last 3 years. Show some respect.

Alabama guard Mark Sears scored 31 points to lead the men's basketball team past South Carolina, 74-47, Tuesday night inside Coleman Coliseum. With the win, the Crimson Tide (10-5, 2-0 SEC) improved to 2-0 in Southeastern Conference play fourth straight year.
Sears and Aaron Estrada (17 points) were the only players to reach double digits as the duo combined for 48 of UA's 74 total points.
Alabama's defense was exceptional Tuesday night, holding South Carolina (13-2, 1-1) to a season-low 47 points while committing 17 turnovers. In the second half alone, the Tide limited the Gamecocks to just 18 points and six field goals.
The Gamecocks had two players score double figures in Meechie Johnson (16 points) and Ta'Lon Cooper (10 points).

"It is great to be back in Coleman and to have the students back, I thought they did an outstanding job. The energy was great from the crowd. It wasn't a good start to the game. South Carolina is a confident team that's been winning; they were confident and came in ready to play. (Lamont Paris) does a great job and is a good coach and they got us out of the gate. After we settled in, we did a really good job the rest of the first half. So big conference win, we needed to go 2-0. We have a big one on the road against Mississippi State on Saturday and they're going to be tough, too."

They’ll be talking about us as SEC contenders soon enough if they aren't now.

#1 Purdue and #2 Houston both lost to unranked teams on the road.

Defense is up 40 spots since the AZ game!!!!
If we can get in the top 50 with our offense we are gonna be tough!!
Also…I just noticed all 5 of our losses are to teams with Offenses inside the top 22

We outscored them 44 to 18 in the 2nd half, pretty crazy.
