Ok I though when people referenced the woke media they were talking about politics, didnt know people who cover college sports were included.

What’s the opposite of the woke media? The asleep media?

Getting this playing experience this year will help him a-lot next year. Also being in a college strength and conditioning program will get him stronger and bigger faster than if he had stayed in HS.

Because each person has a different personality, there are psychological differences. Also, young age cannot be ignored.
A high level of experience is helpful because not everyone can do it, but for some people, it can lower their confidence and make them mentally unable to play their own game.
Not surprisingly, college strength and conditioning programs are superior to high school ones. However, even knowing this, most promising players prepare a lot during their senior years at HS before entering college.

Gotta play better against good teams.

It would be great if he could show his best performance against a high-major team.

Does his 20 points vs Ohio State not count?

Walters had his best game, 12 points and 6 rebs in 21 minutes, and guarded pretty well while only picking up 1 foul.

These guys have to do it against a team we aren't 40 plus points better than.

An open shot is an open shot...if it's the Lakers or a rec team. Good D is good D.

Grant Nelson

vs Ohio State - 20p (FG 45.5% , 3P 20%)
vs Oregon - 11p (FG 38.5% , 3P 0%)
vs Clemson - 14p (FG 26.7% , 3P 25%)
vs Purdue - 11p (FG 44.4% , 3P 28.6%)
vs Creighton - 13p (FG 35.7% , 3P 20%)
vs Arizona - 17p (FG 26.3% , 3P 20%)

FGA - 28/81 - 34.5%
3PA - 9/43 - 20.9%

This is the record of Nelson, one of Bama's top three players this season. Bama is always criticized for his team's defense, but if Nelson's shooting success rate was good, he would have won at least three of those games.

Why haven’t we given Kris Parker a shot? All the reports were he was looking like Herb in practice….is he that bad offensively? Because we could sure you his defense if the rumors were true

They said they were trying to sell him on a herb jones type role, not that he looked like Herb Jones. He’s athletic but very raw, he’s just played Iso ball really most of his life he is having problems learning the concepts and was getting lost a lot.

Agreed with the caveat that he has the patience to stick with the program and not get in his feelings or let someone get in his ear about playing time elsewhere.

Everytime I've watched Davin Cosby in a game...he's been one of the best perimeter defenders.

I don't get it. We got guys who don't defend in games but...

We talking bout PRACTICE not a game but PRACTICE. Lol

But I was told that Rylan is not a shooter.

Is 19 points in 21 minutes on 5/9 shooting from 3s good? Asking for a friend

Rylan producing like that consistently would be a big development.

Need more from Griffen and less fouls from Wague.

What's so crazy is that Rylan was a gifted scorer out of highschool. We saw bits of it last season but it hasn't fully clicked altogether yet.

I think he will continue to get more playing time as the year goes, he’s a good player. He just has Sears, Estrada, Griffen, and Wrightsell in front of him in the guard rotation right now.

I hope he sticks around he reminds me a lot of Jaylen Forbes and Forbes really exploded after he transferred to Tulane. We should have played him more imo, but we had a lot of good guards on that team too.

Walton has not been having a great year shooting. He's down from 40% last year to under 24% this year. I haven't watched to see how Memphis had been using him. So I'm not sure if we dodged a bullet or not.

It's simple.
Stevenson wanted to get playing time, so he came to Bama.
Stevenson was a top high school prospect. Having a top prospect skip his senior season and reclassify loses quite a bit in the hype department. He chose not to get the hype of his senior season and instead get playing time in college.
Stevenson is an NC kid and his mom is from UNC. If UNC or UVA had given him playing time, he would have gone to UNC or UVA. But UNC and UVA wanted him to be physically and mentally ready during his senior season at a prep school.
What if the player who made that choice doesn't get playing time even in garbage time? It's a simple story.
