Glad the guys responded so well after coming out flat to start the second.
This Cozart dude is pretty good. Kind of a sleeper out there. It’s easy to underestimate him based on looks. He can play.

I’m more happy with how our defense responded after their initial run in the 2nd half than I am with scoring 100 pts again.
Regardless being able to score 100 in 4 or 5 games is pretty impressive. Offense is crazy good when our shots fall.
Need to handle Liberty in Bham and then try to start 4-0 in SEC play. Opening up conf play will tell us a lot about this team.
Liberty worries me simply because we’re playing them in Legacy Arena. We always play bad there.

Stevenson completely lost his confidence. Oats doesn't seem to trust Stevenson anymore and he hasn't given him any playing time, even in garbage time.

Overall a good win. We needed a damn confidence booster after that hellacious stretch. It wasn't perfect. But I'm not gonna bitch about much of anything after winning by 44.

Stevenson's reclassification ultimately turns out to be the worst option. His family and those around him wanted him to go to prep school and not be reclassified. Everyone knew he wasn't ready to play college basketball.
He was a great prospect, but ended up being left out of the rotation and couldn't even play in garbage time. I think he will enter the portal after this season.
If he doesn't want this outcome to happen, Stevenson has no choice but to overcome all his shortcomings.

Getting this playing experience this year will help him a-lot next year. Also being in a college strength and conditioning program will get him stronger and bigger faster than if he had stayed in HS.

Memphis is barely beating the worst team in the SEC right now. Up 77 75 on Vanderbilt at home.
