They let Lurch park in the lane long as he wants and if you breathe on him he gets a whistle.

A lot of rival fans have lazily said that all Oats teams are live by the three, die by the three.
It might actually be true about this year’s team.
The third on Wague was killer. We almost made it to the 2nd with only Pringle on 3. I don’t like how the game was called, but Pringle needs to learn to not foul if he’s going to be anything other a wasted scholarship spot.

Saying the refs are horrible translates to not playing defense?
You do know they can call fouls when we have the ball too?

Even after that first half I don’t feel great about the 2nd half. Just being realistic. It’s impossible to stop Edey when they are officiating like this. Already in foul trouble.

The good news is we are playing better than we have all season, bad news is the refs are keeping Purdue in it and we’re in bad foul trouble.

Pringle eats a high elbow they even look at it and he still gets called. At this rate Nate Oats will have to play.
We might have to go to a zone and just outshoot these clowns....they suck except for Lurch. Scream 3 seconds when he parks collapse on him and make them beat us from outsode.

I thought all of Pringles’ fouls were fair calls. And this isn’t a one game issue for him either.
Wague played far more minutes in that half than Pringle, played better, and only has 3 fouls because of a terrible call against him at the end of the half.

Play zone in the lane, but have to be able to match up on the perimeter and provide help with the ball side, interior player, but close out under control.

One pleasant thing about the broadcast; the commentators have been very positive and complementary of Alabama and Oats. Very good to hear.
