Someone replied in that thread that Proctor wanted to enter the portal immediately after the Rose Bowl and Saban talked him out of it.

Apparently his girlfriend attends Drake University in Des Moines and they don't get to see each other that much.

Naturally, he'll end up in Ann Arbor, Columbus or Athens.

And Caleb Downs is hitting the portal.

Bye bye playoffs next year. Saban giveth and Saban take away.

Weren't people saying Proctor being in the way was part of the reason we didn't land Seaton.

As much I hate losing guys, especially some one like Proctor who did develop and played hurt, I still can't be real concerned. For 3 years we have put together underperforming O lines with 4 and 5 star recruits.

I am more than happy to see who Huff gets in here and see what they can do.

The only players I hate to see go or dudes in the secondary and right now Oatis if he decides to go.

EtA: And Downs Only one that truly hurts. But hell better to have this band aid off .

I beat teams were pooling their money . We don't care where he goes just anywhere but Bama. Cfb is going to break down Bama's roster come hell or high water.

Isn't it funny that we got in hella trouble for buying a player back in the day, and now, under the cover of NIL, it's done by the minute. What a joke....

I'm amazed and at the same time not how much money is being ponied up for this roster of players now that the gates are open, it is just crazy. Just proves the talent Saban could attract. Obviously no one is throwing this much money at Washington and Arizona's roster. I can't believe this much will be thrown around when Michigan opens up. People want the 85th man on Bama's roster and are willing to pay for it .
