Definitely will take it. Somebody earlier in the thread called it. Limiting damage in the early innings set this up.

Damn Ballsy win tonight. Gave up two in the first and only one more off a solo HR after that. Pitching staff grew up tonight

Absolutely. If the boys still weren't sure they could compete with the best they sure as hell are now.

looks like we have our top 3 relief pitchers

88 first in the middle, Guff for situations and then 38

none threw a lot and could pitch tomorrow if need be.. Especially Guff

I told y'all if we stole Friday, we break the mystique and at least won't get swept. And with a break or two, could steal the series. But, hell, for now we talking sweep, baby!

I might be reading way more 8n to this, than I should, but this feels like a huge win for the program

It's big because of what we'd done the prior 2 weeks. If we were 4-8 and won it'd be cool but not nearly as big a deal.

Find a way to win the series off the back of the Ole Miss sweep and we're legitimately in this thing.

As noted earlier, the game management (specifically pitching management) tonight was fantastic.

Oh yeah, coming off the road sweep this first game is huge. His management was top notch. Made a lot of right moves. Our guys never flinched.

I don't think you're wrong for that. We beat the undefeated and undisputed #1 team on their home turf. A team that statistically is one of the best in SEC history this far into the season.

Don't miss this too. Yes, Tennessee Tech beat them earlier in the week, but that was a midweek game and not a home game for UT. Much different. We beat them with their #1 starter and midseason NCAA pitcher of the year pitching and their former #1 starter, pre-season 1st team all-american, and future 1st round draft closing things out (Outside that last out).

I don't want to put the cart before the horse, but this truly is a huge win and sets us up to potentially take this series from them. That would be back-to-back SEC road series wins against top 10 teams (at the time). Can't understate that enough. If not for those 9th inning collapses against Mississippi State, we'd be right there with Arky for tops in the SEC West right now.

Bo's teams have gotten better every single year and we've taken another step this one even after losing our undisputed ace for the past two seasons. I'm a believer in what he's doing.

Yeah Jackson managed a hell of a pitching staff tonight.

It always seems like the teams with the cockiest folks are the ones that get most butthurt over someone else celebrating.
