Yes, you essentially did. If that isn’t what you were saying then Daniels isn’t a great example of success. A one read QB cannot consistently beat elite teams. We’ve seen this many times over the past decade.

It will be exciting, but yeah It absolutely could go two ways..You look at the schedule and where are the trap games? South Florida? Arkansas sandwiched between LSU & Tennessee, Kentucky? I think they’ll be ready for the big ones though. You gotta ask yourself, who in the nation has a better roster than us? If qb1 goes down, plug in qb2 or 3 or whatever, it should not matter in the scheme at this point. Our running back room is 5 deep. Kevin Steele has gotta love our db situation and if a-day is any indication he will be bringing the heat.

Downvoted for misspelling personnel. Keep things tight, SOG. You’re better than this.

Yes, but we knew we had a DeVonta smith and Jaylen Waddle.

We don’t know what we have a lot receiver other than a guy that can’t catch from UGA.

Don’t overlook Buchner. This kid is killing himself to be the guy. There is something about him.

Boz, you heard anything about how summer workouts are going? This has been one of the quietest summers ever lol

Not much. Just on the grind. Team seems to have a purpose. Glad to see it.

I think he could made a real push for QB1.

No one really knew that Mac Jones was the dude, most people were saying true freshman Bryce Young was going to start over Mac.

I was adamant in that offseason that Mac had actually shown himself to be a potentially great quarterback in the very game most were roasting for losing the Iron Bowl. It takes competitive character to make the mistakes he did in that game and pick himself up to lead the team down the field. Hell, he put them in position to tie the game for overtime but the PK missed a gimme.

I felt like it was going to take Bryce Young doing something amazing in the camp to get the starting nod. Granted, I’m pretty sure BY would’ve been a great true freshman starter if Mac had transferred or got hurt.

Yeah, for whatever reason people focused 100% on one bad throw and a typical Auburn in Jerden Hair fluke play and totally ignored how great Mac looked against Arkansas, the other 98% of the Iron Bowl, and against Michigan. You don't do some of the stuff he did in those games just because you have great players around you. It's like people forgot what an actual game manager on a great team (McElroy) looks like.

Our current QB situation bears no resemblance to what it was in July 2020. None of these guys have shown anything close to what Mac did in 2019. Doesn't mean they don't have it in them, but if any of them play at an elite level this season it would be a much bigger surprise than Mac.

And, Mac had been on the team for 3 or 4 years before he started a game. He had seen a lot and matured a lot.
But, we need a D lineman that can affect the other teams QB.
As Kirby Smart said the Monday after our game vs TN, if we let the TN qb stand 3 steps behind the center and never put any pressure on him, its going to be a long day for us. And Georgia didnt. The harassed the H out of the out of the TN qb. I think Ga was playing some young D linemen but they were better than anything we had.

Worst case 12-0, best case 12-0. Roll Tide.

Also just from a few conversations it seems like QB1 is leaning to Ty or Buchner. Don’t make this a thing, just right this second talk. Let’s get into playing some in scrimmages. But I’ll be able to tell by the scrimmage I think, I’ll be all around the staff.

I don’t know how much it means but McElroy thinks Simpson will be the guy.

Yeah it’s what I’m hearing. Basically whichever of the 2 can make the least mistakes. I think the throwing and Milroe just isn’t panning out.

I know we won’t see it, but I’d love to have Milroe in some packages where he can rpo and just bulldog people with his running skills.

I think 10-2 is the floor regular season.

If they handle Texas pretty well, I think 11-1 or 12-0 is likely.

Can they beat UGA in Atlanta? IDK.. but I wouldn’t bet against them.
