FULLY agree on the tackling. Seems they are going back to that "thud" tackling crap from the Shula days. WRAP THEIR arse UP AND DRIVE THEM INTO THE DIRT!!!

i concur about the crappy 'thud' tackling. cant believe we cant get these kids to tackle correctly

as for the cb's. we are in trouble against real teams. why isnt mo smith getting any reps at cb? he looks better in coverage than cyrus.

I was surprised to see Jabriel Washington lining up at LB (Money I'm guessing?) with the ones on several plays. It was reported he was shadowing Ragland in a certain package in practice last week. I know Jarrick is injured, but Washington is one of the smallest players on the team and seems like an odd choice. SDH and Ronnie Clark seem like good fits if they can pick up the mental part.

I feel so much more comfortable with Jackson out there. Cyrus can hold his own.

i agree it was a bit strange. The only thing i could figure is that they were trying to get somebody more "quick-twitch" in that spot. Washington must be a pretty good tackler if they gave him a look there, although i didnt see much evidence of that assumption in the actual game. SDH and Clark would be nice to have in that spot (especially Clark) but I dont think they are comfortable enough with the scheme at this point. not real sure who our other options would be.

Vinnie leaving early, Jarrick hurt, missing out on Safety prospects the last couple years...our options were down to Washington, a true freshman (Hootie, Clark) or a LB. Lee seems like a good potential option at Money

I think I like Lee in that spot, depending on the opposing personnel. Ideally I think we'd have Perry or Jarrick in that spot. But apparently nobody else is ready to take over Perry's spot. Whatever happened to the days of us using a deep safety like Robbie Green and Will Lowery? That should be one of the easiest positions to learn and one of the least physical spots on the defense.

Ej is so aggressive. Reminds me of Dre Kirk.

Lc is a beast. Everyone else blows.

Good point. Surprised we didn't put Washington at FS and move Perry to Money. Or Mo Smith at Star, Geno at FS, and Perry at Money
